Job DescriptionJob Title: Industrial ElectricianJob Description We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team on the 1st shift. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in manufacturing or production environments, similar to millwright, and will be functionally responsible for maintaining all manufacturing equipment and electrical components. Responsibilities • Follow and take initiative as directed in the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program, including enhancing the program itself., • Contribute ideas and input to support continuous improvement within the facility., • Repair mechanical issues independently when required., • Monitor equipment performance, document, and evaluate potential problems for root cause solutions and improvements., • Ensure a workplace free from serious recognized hazards and comply with OSH Act standards, rules, and regulations., • Examine workplace conditions to ensure conformity with applicable OSHA standards., • Ensure employees have and use safe tools and equipment and properly maintain this equipment., • Use color codes, posters, labels, or signs to warn employees of potential hazards., • Establish or update operating procedures and communicate them for adherence to safety and health requirements., • Provide safety training in a language and vocabulary workers can understand., • Develop and implement a hazard communication program for hazardous chemicals in the workplace and ensure employees are trained on the hazards they are exposed to, with safety data sheets readily available., • Authorize employees official time to participate in occupational safety and health programs.Essential Skills, • 3+ years of experience as a Licensed Electrician in a manufacturing environment., • Knowledge of 480v 3-phase systems and troubleshooting abilities., • Experience in troubleshooting industrial maintenance machines., • Proficiency in working with Allen Bradley PLCs., • Ability to read and work with electrical and mechanical drawings., • Comfortable working with the Electrical Safety Code., • Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical controls, and PLCs.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with welding and fabrication is a strong asset., • Hold a valid Electrical Journeyman or Electrical Contractor license., • Accountable for all Electrical, Instrumentation Controls, and plant equipment maintenance to ensure minimal downtime., • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a safe manner while maintaining a clean and orderly shop., • Ability to respond to breakdowns immediately and communicate for repairs., • Willingness to share knowledge and train team members on equipment functionality, history, procedures, and drawing mark-ups., • Ability to coach operating personnel on equipment capability, limitations, and preventative measures to improve equipment reliability., • Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing various drives and instrumentation devices within a PLC control circuit., • Ability to size and run conduit and connect wires to various electrical equipment and plant components.
