Job Description This role supports the Electric division by assisting with the installation, service, and maintenance of industrial, residential, and commercial electrical systems under the direct supervision of a project lead. You’ll be responsible for hands-on electrical work that directly impacts project quality, jobsite safety, and overall project success. Success in this role means developing technical skills, gaining code knowledge, and contributing positively to the jobsite while upholding KE’s commitment to Safety, People, Passion, and Performance. What You’ll Do You’ll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include: • Perform electrical installation, service, and maintenance work under supervision, • Maintain 2nd year (2,000–4,000 hours) registered Unlicensed Electrician status, • Attend continuing education to support annual registration renewal, • Track and report electrical work experience and ongoing education, • Learn and apply current electrical codes and best practices, • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and construction documents, • Gain experience bending conduit using hydraulic bending machines, • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively, • Work in restricted areas and at heights, • Follow Knobelsdorff’s safety policies and procedures, • Work in all weather conditions depending on job location and season, • Travel to regional job sites, including overnight and out-of-town projects, • Work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, • Perform additional duties as assignedQualifications What You Bring You’re someone who shows up ready to work hard, learn fast, and contribute to a team that takes pride in doing things right. Successful candidates typically bring: • 2nd year (2,000–4,000 hours) registered Unlicensed Electrician experience or 2 - 3 years of experience, • High school diploma or equivalent, • Basic knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and materials, • Ability to positively identify wire colors, • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, • Self-starter mindset with strong teamwork skills, • Valid driver’s license with a history of safe driving, • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 100%) within Illinois, • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check Additional Information Pay Range We believe in paying for the value you bring to the team, and we aim to be competitive in every market we hire in.
