Seasonal Line Cook - Millennium Hall (Downtown Chicago) Location: 11 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60602 Company: Vandalay Brands | Millennium Hall Job Type: Full-time, Seasonal Millennium Hall, located in the heart of downtown Chicago beneath the iconic Cloud Gate sculpture, is the latest addition to Vandalay Brands, a 10-location restaurant group serving Chicagoland. We are looking for skilled and motivated Line Cooks to join our fast-paced, high-energy kitchen team. The Role We are seeking Line Cooks responsible for food preparation, cooking, plating, and maintaining high kitchen standards. This position is ideal for individuals with strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and a passion for high-quality food production. Responsibilities • Prepare dishes according to recipes and presentation standards., • Set up and maintain assigned cooking stations., • Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items., • Report any food waste to the Chef., • Follow safe food handling and sanitation guidelines., • Maintain cooking techniques and presentation quality., • Assist with prep work and deep cleaning tasks., • Work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment., • Assist other stations when needed and collaborate with the team. Qualifications • Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours per shift., • Able to lift 50-100 pounds as needed., • Comfortable working in hot and cold environments., • Strong knife skills and knowledge of kitchen tools., • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask effectively., • Punctual and able to adhere to a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays., • Professional attitude, team player mentality, and ability to accept feedback., • Must hold a valid state/local food handler’s card where applicable.
