Job Description Immediate start for a Kitchen Lead, AM Shift. Must have grill experience. Primary Job Functions: • Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines., • Prepares all food items ads directed in a sanitary and timely manner., • Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant., • Restocks all items as needed throughout shift., • Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills., • Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station., • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas., • Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the management team All employees are expected to: • Uphold the Hoffbrau Mission Statement., • Have a team player attitude., • Display hard working and honest character., • Posses excellent people skills and display outgoing personalities., • Report to work as scheduled (no earlier than five minutes), in uniform, and ready to work., • Maintain professional relationships with all coworkers., • Follow checklists and standard operating procedures., • Perform duties as assigned. Physical Demands: • Exposures to cold, heat, and water., • Must be able to withstand continuous walking, standing and bending., • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds when needed., • Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 35 pounds regularly., • Previous prep or line cook experience., • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills., • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures., • Proven ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure., • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized., • Must be able speak, read and understand basic cooking directions., • Comprehensive understanding of the English language., • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers, • Required to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays., • Required to purchase appropriate uniform upon hiring.
