Job DescriptionJob Title: Forklift Operator Job Description The forklift operator safely operates industrial trucks and material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and stack products within a warehouse or similar facility. This role ensures materials are handled accurately and efficiently to support timely and complete deliveries throughout the operation. Responsibilities • Inspect product loads for accuracy and verify that materials match documentation before moving them within the facility., • Safely operate forklifts and other industrial trucks to move materials between loading, processing, and storage areas., • Use vehicle controls to drive and maneuver equipment in tight or busy warehouse spaces while maintaining safe operating practices., • Operate levers and controls on lifting devices, including forklifts and hoists, to load, unload, transport, and stack materials., • Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, and boxes as needed., • Secure materials and products on pallets or in designated carriers to prevent shifting or damage during transport., • Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse or facility to support production, storage, and shipping activities., • Follow established quality and safety procedures related to handling raw materials, finished goods, and in-process inventory., • Collaborate with team members and other departments to coordinate material movement and support efficient workflow., • Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or damaged materials to the appropriate personnel promptly.Essential Skills, • Ability to safely operate forklifts and other industrial material-handling equipment., • Strong attention to detail when inspecting product loads and verifying accuracy., • Effective verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments., • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment., • Basic problem-solving skills to address issues related to material movement and equipment operation., • Basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control principles., • Understanding of techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods., • Valid forklift operator’s license., • 0–2 years of manufacturing experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • High school diploma or GED preferred., • Experience using stand-up forklifts is beneficial., • Experience with loading and unloading materials from pallets, skids, and boxes., • Familiarity with inspecting loads and securing materials for safe transport., • Comfort working around industrial equipment in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a warehouse or similar industrial facility that may also support manufacturing or distribution activities. You will primarily operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment, including stand-up forklifts and hoists, to move products between loading docks, processing areas, and storage locations. The position involves working around pallets, skids, and boxes, with frequent loading and unloading of materials. Work hours follow a defined shift schedule, and you may spend most of the day on your feet or operating equipment in an active environment with regular movement of goods and vehicles. Standard industrial safety practices apply, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment and adherence to all facility safety and quality procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
