Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY: The Welder position is responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. For large or specialized projects, fitters are mainly involved with laying out and assembling subunits or units of materials which are then welded into position by welders. The position is responsible for ensuring the product is fitted to the specifications of each job and the outlined requirements consistent with production of quality UT passable welds. The Fitter Welder II is responsible for welding and fitting jobs and making sure all weldments are welded within the right welding procedures and built to print in a timely manner. Based in Fort Worth, this position will report to the Team Lead and/or Supervisor of the department and will often work alongside other members of the manufacturing team.
