Job Description Job Title: Welder Job Description This role focuses on fabricating and welding tanks and other industrial equipment using blueprints in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will primarily perform flux core welding on structural components, with some GMAW work, and progressively take on fitting responsibilities as you become familiar with established processes and procedures. Responsibilities • Interpret and work from blueprints and basic welding symbols to fabricate and weld tanks and industrial equipment., • Perform structural welding using flux core processes for approximately 90% of the work, with about 10% GMAW (including some metal core)., • Execute 3G and 4G flux core welds to required quality and safety standards., • Use .045 diameter wire and appropriate welding techniques to produce strong, clean welds., • Conduct structural welding on a variety of industrial components, ensuring proper penetration, alignment, and overall integrity., • Assist with fitting duties, including layout, measuring, and positioning parts, and progress to independently fitting components once familiar with procedures., • Perform some stick welding as needed for specific applications or repair work., • Follow established manufacturing and fabrication procedures to maintain consistency and quality across all products., • Inspect welds visually and with basic tools to verify quality and adherence to specifications., • Work safely in an industrial environment, including confined spaces and at heights, while climbing ladders and maneuvering around large equipment., • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper care of welding equipment and tools., • At least 2 years of experience as an industrial welder, preferably 3–5 years of hands-on work experience., • Proficiency in flux core welding, including the ability to weld in 3G and 4G positions., • Strong structural welding experience, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing setting., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and basic welding symbols accurately., • Experience using .045 diameter wire in flux core welding applications., • Demonstrated ability to perform high-quality welds consistently in a production environment., • Capability to work safely in confined spaces and at heights, including climbing ladders., • Experience with GMAW (MIG) welding, including some metal core applications., • Skills in fitting, including layout, measuring, and positioning parts for welding., • Some experience with stick welding for structural or repair work., • Experience in manufacturing or fabrication of industrial equipment such as tanks, trailers, or heavy structural components., • Familiarity with D1.1 structural welding standards is beneficial.
