You will also ensure the dishwashing and other kitchen areas are maintained as clean, safe, and sanitary. Primary Duties & Responsibilities • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all areas of the dish room, kitchen, and dumpster area., • Wash pots, pans, trays, dishware, drinkware, utensils, etc.; sort and store clean items using proper procedures., • Empty trash cans and wash inside and outside., • Break down the dish machine and clean inside and outside; maintain proper care of machine., • Clean all breakdown tables., • Make sure all deliveries are put away and rotated., • Always operate equipment safely and according to policy., • May assist in the preparation for line service, both hot and cold, as needed., • Abide by all company and state guidelines regarding food handling safety and sanitation., • Maintain regular and punctual on-site attendance with the ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays when business requires. Education/ Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, • Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills, • Ability to work efficiently with strong attention to detail, • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 75 pounds, • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals., • Position self in order to obtain necessary supplies and efficiently clean assigned areas, • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, sometimes more than 8 hours, • This position requires the ability to work in temperatures of varying degrees The Roaring '20s are alive and prosperous in Chattanooga at the Historic Read House Hotel.
