Job DescriptionPrimary Job Title: Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative Alternate/Related Job Titles: • Phlebotomy Technician, • Patient Services Technician, • Medical Laboratory Assistant, • Specimen Collection Specialist, • Position Type: Contract, • Contract Duration: 2 months, • Start: As Soon As Possible, • Pay Rate: $24–27/hr, • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–7:00 PM | Rotating Saturday 9:00 AM–4:00 PM (CST)Job Summary:The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR I) represents the face of the organization to patients by providing safe, accurate, and compassionate specimen collection services. This role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, maintaining precise records, and ensuring compliance with lab safety and patient confidentiality standards. The PSR I works in a fast-paced clinical setting while delivering exceptional service and professionalism to patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues.Key Responsibilities:, • Perform accurate and efficient venipuncture and capillary blood collections, including pediatric and geriatric patients., • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures., • Maintain required records, logs, and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality., • Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment for patients and staff., • Adhere to all safety and infection control policies., • Communicate effectively with patients to build trust and explain collection procedures., • Perform data entry and labeling of specimens following verification of patient identity., • Assist with patient flow and support other collection centers as needed., • Demonstrate a customer-focused and professional demeanor at all times.Required Experience:, • Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required., • 1+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred., • Strong customer service background in a healthcare, retail, or service environment., • Keyboard/data entry proficiency required., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Education & Certification:, • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred., • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).Required Skills:, • Phlebotomy and Specimen Collection, • Patient Care and Communication, • Data Entry and DocumentationPreferred Skills:, • Pediatric and Geriatric Collection Experience, • Customer Service and Patient Relations, • Safety and Quality Control ProceduresAdditional Skills:, • Flexible scheduling (weekends, holidays, overtime as needed)., • Ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment., • Commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct.Benefits:, • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans We are a Native American-owned, economically disadvantaged corporation that highly values diverse and inclusive workplaces.
