Certification Details • AHA BLS, • ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) certification required within 12 months of hire date, • Paramedic training program completion accepted within 12 months of hire dateJob Details, • Entry-level position working under supervision to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients., • Provides safe, high quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care in various care settings including acute inpatient facilities, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and remote statewide outreach clinics., • Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician orders., • Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care team to achieve clinical outcomes and operational goals., • Utilizes specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques for diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures., • Conducts post-procedure reviews to ensure completion, documentation, and technical quality per protocols and accreditation standards., • Transfers images and data to archival systems, enters technical data/findings, and prepares studies for physician reporting., • Performs operator-level quality control, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines., • Participates in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies and improve care., • Performs other duties as assigned.Job Requirements, • Skill in applying principles of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology, patient positioning, and medical ethics., • Ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions, and reliably report to work as scheduled., • Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs., • Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes., • Ability to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations., • Discretion in handling confidential information and sound judgment., • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations., • Understanding of operations, policies, and procedures., • Professional, polite, courteous, compassionate, and cooperative communication with staff, patients, and families., • High level of initiative, effort, and commitment to completing assignments efficiently., • Ability to work with minimum supervision and attention to detail., • Core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology; cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies and terminology associated with the specialty., • Ability to apply core-level primary specialty theory, practices, and techniques to perform, post-process, analyze, and annotate study data or procedure documentation with general supervision or assistance., • Associate’s degree or higher required., • Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program in cardiovascular specialty or JRCERT accredited program in radiologic technology, or completion of Paramedic training program.Schedule Information, • Contract length is 13 weeks.Additional Details, • Must be able to work as part of a team and follow instructions., • Must be able to consistently and dependably report to work as scheduled., • Ability to be sensitive to patients’ physical and psychological needs., • Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes., • Ability to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations., • Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information and exercise sound judgment., • Must be able to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations., • Must possess ability to understand various operations, policies, and procedures., • Ability to work and communicate with staff, patients and their families in a professional, polite, courteous, compassionate, and cooperative manner., • Must display a high level of initiative, effort and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently., • Ability to work with minimum supervision and demonstrate attention to detail., • Core knowledge and understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology; cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies and terminology associated with the primary specialty for which hired and credentialed., • Ability and skill to apply core-level primary specialty theory, practices and techniques to perform, post-process, analyze and annotate study data or procedure documentation with general supervision or assistance.
