Job DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician supports an industrial plastic conduit manufacturing facility by performing mechanical, electrical, and preventive maintenance on a variety of production machinery. This role focuses primarily on extrusion lines that bend, heat, and cool plastic, ensuring smooth, efficient, and reliable production in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment, with a focus on extrusion lines used to bend, heat, and cool plastic conduit., • Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of machines to minimize downtime and extend equipment life., • Diagnose and resolve issues involving hydraulics and pneumatics to keep systems operating safely and efficiently., • Work with electrical systems, including 480V and 3-phase motors, to identify faults and complete repairs in a safe and timely manner., • Conduct basic PLC troubleshooting to support equipment operation and assist with resolving control system issues., • Monitor equipment performance on the extrusion lines and make adjustments to maintain smooth and consistent production., • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used to support accurate recordkeeping and continuous improvement., • Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work orders and respond quickly to urgent maintenance needs., • Support a 2-2-3 rotating schedule, including days, nights, and regular weekend work, to provide continuous maintenance coverage., • Work safely in a non-climate-controlled industrial facility and follow all safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements.Essential Skills, • Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment., • Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, including troubleshooting and repair., • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, including work with 480V systems and 3-phase motors., • Ability to perform mechanical repairs and adjustments on production machinery., • Experience performing preventive maintenance on a variety of industrial machines., • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled indoor industrial facility., • Willingness and ability to work a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, including regular weekend shifts., • Capability to work both day and night shifts as required by the monthly rotation.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in plastic manufacturing maintenance, particularly with extrusion equipment., • High-voltage electrical experience in an industrial setting., • PLC experience, including basic PLC troubleshooting for machinery controls., • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to repair and optimize equipment performance., • Previous experience in a unionized industrial or manufacturing environment is a plus.Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in an indoor industrial plastics manufacturing plant that operates as a non-climate-controlled facility, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. The position follows a 2-2-3 rotating schedule, with one month on day shift and two months on night shift, working 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or the corresponding night hours as assigned, including regular weekend shifts. The environment includes extrusion lines and other heavy industrial machinery, with a strong emphasis on safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and proper use of tools and equipment. Appropriate industrial work attire and personal protective equipment are required to work safely around production lines and maintenance activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
