Job Title: Production Manager – Finished Goods Location: Queens, NY Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: VP of Product Development Overview A fast-growing consumer goods company in the housewares and tabletop category is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of imported finished goods. This role will be responsible for managing overseas suppliers, production schedules, quality assurance, compliance, and cost optimization across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities 🏭 Production & Supplier Management • Manage end-to-end production for finished goods, ensuring on-time and cost-effective execution., • Partner with overseas vendors (primarily in Asia) to align on requirements, schedules, and quality standards., • Review and approve lab dips, PP & TOP samples, verifying specifications for accuracy and compliance., • Track purchase orders, confirm accuracy, and manage timelines., • Collaborate with merchandising, logistics, and sales teams to align production with business needs., • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure proper storage and efficient turnover., • Oversee third-party inspections and factory audits., • Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues quickly with suppliers., • Manage freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping partners to ensure timely importation and delivery., • Handle import/export documentation and customs compliance., • Maintain production records and generate reports on lead times, landed costs, and vendor performance., • Recommend and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and cost savings., • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, or related field., • 2+ years in import production management (housewares, tabletop, or related consumer goods preferred)., • Strong Excel proficiency and experience with ERP systems., • Experience working with overseas suppliers (China and India strongly preferred)., • Solid knowledge of supply chain logistics, quality control, and import/export documentation., • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills., • Familiarity with retail compliance, private label production, and sustainable sourcing is a plus.
