Job Description C.H. Thompson is currently seeking a Screen Printer Apprentice to join our team. As a Screen Printer Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced screen printers to learn and master the art and science of screen printing on various metal surfaces. Position Overview • Material Preparation:, • Assist in cleaning, degreasing, and preparing metal parts for screen printing, ensuring surfaces are free of contaminants., • Learn to properly set up and secure parts on printing fixtures and tables., • Assist with mixing and preparing inks, ensuring correct color and viscosity for specific applications., • Screen Preparation & Maintenance:, • Learn the process of preparing screen printing screens, including coating, exposing, and developing., • Assist with reclaiming and cleaning screens after use., • Understand proper storage and maintenance of screens and printing equipment., • Printing Assistance:, • Assist the lead screen printer with loading and unloading parts from the printing area., • Learn proper squeegee techniques, pressure application, and registration for various designs and materials., • Observe and assist in troubleshooting common printing issues., • Quality Control:, • Inspect printed parts for defects such as smudges, misprints, or inconsistencies., • Learn to identify and correct quality issues in real-time., • Understand and follow the quality control procedures and documentation., • Collaboration:, • Team Communication: Coordinate with painters, anodize operators, or other production team members to ensure smooth workflow during subsequent processes., • Feedback Loop: Provide feedback on masking challenges or improvements to enhance efficiency., • Safety and Compliance:, • Good organizational skills, • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, • Ability to lift heavy objects, • No prior screen-printing experience required, however a strong interest in manufacturing, art, or skilled trades is a plus., • Wage, • $17.50-$18.00 per hour plus a 90-Day Review for a prospective increase (compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience)., • Benefits - We recognize the value of a comprehensive benefits package and work vigorously to ensure our package meets the needs of our employees and their families. Job Description JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing processes and ensure efficient and timely production. The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing operations to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: • Plan and organize production schedules based on demand forecasts and resource availability., • Ensure that production processes operate efficiently and comply with health and safety regulations., • Monitor production output, product standards, and implement quality control programs., • Manage the production team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations., • Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain to streamline operations., • Resolve production issues in a timely and cost-effective manner., • Mentor your leaders., • Maintain accurate production documentation and generate regular performance reports., • Optimize manufacturing workflows and suggest improvements for productivity and cost savings., • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: • College degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field, • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a production or manufacturing management role., • Strong leadership and decision-making skills., • Proficient in production management software (e.g., ERP systems)., • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills., • In-depth knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory standards. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification., • Experience in Aerospace cable manufacturing., • Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports., • Knows how to create and maintain strong teams. PHYSICIAL/ENVIRONMENTS REQUIREMENTS: • Must be able to navigate shop floor., • Occasional lifting/carrying of product throughout the manufacturing floor, dock, and warehouse., • Must be able to use material handling equipment., • Prolonged Standing and walking., • Prolonged periods of computer work., • Must be able to lift. Carry 10 – 50 lbs., • Required to work around chemicals and loud noises., • Must be able to work in a clean room and wear clean room attire., • Must be able to wear required safety protective equipment including but not limited to safety shoes, glasses or ESD coats. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site PLC Machine Operator / Automation Technician role based in Binghamton, NY. You will operate and support PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment, including our primary molding line (TH10). Prior experience on this specific machine is not required—training and mentorship will be provided. The ideal candidate has a PLC background, understands how automated systems work, and can learn complex machine operations quickly. Responsibilities include operating equipment, monitoring performance, troubleshooting PLC-, electrical-, and mechanical issues, and working with engineering to optimize production while maintaining safety and quality standards.
