Job Description Job Title: Sr. Technical Product Manager Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Technical Product Manager to lead and manage two key programs in video and diagnostics. You will be the primary interface between the teams and external stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery of projects within agreed timelines. This role requires strong communication skills, technical expertise, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships. Responsibilities • Serve as the primary product liaison to stakeholders, managing ongoing communication across multiple concurrent priorities and initiatives., • Navigate complex stakeholder conversations to reconcile competing priorities, evolving requirements, and release constraints., • Proactively identify gaps between documented specifications and requested functionality, and drive alignment before development begins., • Negotiate release scope with stakeholders, ensuring realistic commitments aligned with engineering capacity and delivery timelines., • Mitigate friction during code transfers by ensuring acceptance criteria and requirements are clearly defined, validated, and agreed upon in advance., • Provide structured, transparent status reporting and risk escalation to Sr. stakeholders., • Own the product roadmap and backlog for assigned products., • Translate high-level epics into clearly defined, executable epics and user stories., • Drive requirements refinement by pushing for specificity, edge cases, non-functional requirements, and acceptance criteria., • Track and manage long-lived epics across multiple releases, ensuring continuity and traceability., • Ensure alignment between products and other data services where cross-product dependencies exist., • Maintain backlog health and transparency, ensuring development teams have clear priorities and well-defined work., • Lead quarterly planning cycles in collaboration with stakeholders and engineering leadership., • Decompose high-level strategic guidance from stakeholders into prioritized, actionable delivery plans., • Identify risks early when high-level direction lacks sufficient detail and proactively drive clarification., • Balance short-term release commitments with long-term platform scalability and technical sustainability., • Partner with technical delivery leads to align scope and sequencing, conduct release planning, and track execution progress., • Ensure internal documentation is complete, accurate, and reflects current functionality before code transfer., • Reduce post-transfer defect cycles by validating requirements completeness prior to handoff., • Operate effectively in environments experiencing team turnover or schedule pressure, providing structure and clarity to maintain delivery momentum. Essential Skills • 4+ years as a Technical Product Manager, Technical Project Manager, or Business Analyst in a software or SaaS environment., • Demonstrated experience managing complex stakeholder relationships, particularly in matrixed or global organizations., • Experience negotiating release scope and aligning cross-functional teams around delivery constraints., • Proven ability to manage long-lived epics and ambiguous, high-level initiatives., • AWS platform experience (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Kinesis or equivalent)., • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and SaaS delivery models., • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to articulate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders., • Experience with Jira, Confluence, SQL, and diagramming tools (Lucidchart / Visio)., • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze product and operational data., • Detail-oriented with strong process discipline and focus on continuous improvement. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Japanese language skills are a major plus., • Experience working with backend products and architecture diagrams in AWS., • Ability to influence stakeholders and make recommendations based on technical implementation options. Work Environment The position offers a hybrid work environment with an expectation of being onsite one day a week, primarily on Thursdays. Flexibility is provided for late meetings with Japan, allowing for adjusted start times or early leave on Fridays. The work week is limited to 40 hours, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
