Job DescriptionJob Title: Manufacturing Production ManagerJob Description We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Production Manager to lead daily production operations at a facility in Alameda. This role is responsible for production planning, workflow optimization, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives that ensure high-quality output, operational efficiency, and a safe working environment. The ideal candidate is an empowering yet disciplined leader who can motivate teams, uphold standards, and proactively drive process improvements. They must bring strong experience in regulated manufacturing environments, including electrical safety, OSHA compliance, and GMP practices. Responsibilities • Oversee day-to-day production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are consistently met., • Manage, coach, and develop production teams including leads, assemblers, and technicians., • Maintain staffing levels, coordinate schedules, and support training and onboarding., • Serve as a hands-on leader willing to step onto the floor and support operations directly when needed., • Build and manage production schedules based on demand forecasts and capacity., • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality to ensure material availability and workflow continuity., • Monitor WIP, takt time, throughput, and bottlenecks to maintain efficient flow., • Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety standards, electrical safety protocols, and internal safety procedures., • Maintain compliance with GMP and other regulated manufacturing requirements., • Partner with Quality to address nonconformances, root-cause issues, and corrective actions., • Support audits, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance., • Implement continuous improvement, 5S, and process-improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase efficiency., • Implement KPIs and dashboards to track production performance., • Identify inefficiencies and proactively drive improvements across processes, equipment, and workflows., • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance product quality and reduce cycle time., • Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback to production staff., • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement., • Communicate production status, risks, and priorities to leadership and stakeholders., • Empower teams while maintaining disciplined execution and high operational standards.Essential Skills, • 5+ years of experience leading small to mid-sized manufacturing teams., • Hands-on leadership style — willing to roll up sleeves and work directly with the team., • Strong knowledge of electrical safety, OSHA regulations, and safe manufacturing practices., • Experience working within GMP or other regulated manufacturing environments., • Proven ability to drive process improvements and implement structured operational changes., • Strong understanding of production planning, workflow optimization, and manufacturing best practices., • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and production metrics., • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in electronics or electromechanical assembly environments is preferred.
