Job Description Machine Operator | Provo, UT The CNC Machine Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate production of machined parts using Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment. This position is responsible for selecting and running approved programs, loading and unloading material per established SOPs, and performing quality inspections on all completed parts before they move down the production line. Operators must maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensure machines remain running at full capacity, and promptly communicate any issues related to programming, tooling, fixtures, or part quality to the Production Supervisor. This role requires strict adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards, supporting smooth and continuous manufacturing operations. Responsibilities • Perform consistent visual inspections of all parts to identify defects or abnormalities, • Understand the difference between good and bad parts and the factors that cause defects, • Seek opportunities for continuous improvement in quality processes, • Successfully pass monthly SOP, 5S, and Kanban audits, • Immediately report any issues with programs, tooling, fixtures, or in-process quality to the Production Supervisor, • Rework welds or parts with quality issues—never pass defective parts to the next workstation, • Select and run the appropriate CNC program according to SOPs (operators may not write or modify programs), • Load and unload material based on program requirements, • Perform tool changeovers and fixture setups, • Measure and inspect parts to ensure they meet required tolerance ranges, • Remove burrs, sharp edges, mill scale, weld splatter, grease, and other debris from parts, • Transport completed parts to the next workstation, • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred, • Experience operating CNC machines preferred, • Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety rules and SOPs, • Ability to effectively give and receive feedback, • Standing for most of a 10-hour shift, • Frequent bending and placing items into bins, • May require lifting over 50 lbs, • Requires manual dexterity for operating manufacturing machines, • Typically 10-hour shifts Schedule Full Time | Monday – Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM Nexeo Benefits • Medical, Dental, Vision, Limited Life, Short-Term Disability, • Refer a Friend Bonus | Other Financial Incentives (Bonuses), • Weekly Pay | Direct Deposit | Rapid Pay Card, • Hassle-Free Job Search: A Nexeo Recruiter is always available to assist you Questions?
