Job Description Job Title: Owl Bar Lead Supervisor Department: Owl Bar Rate of Pay: $19.00/hr + Tips Status: Full-Time, Year-Round | Evenings, Weekends & Holidays Required FLSA: Non-Exempt/Hourly Summary Assist in overseeing all Owl Bar operations to ensure genuine hospitality, exceptional service, effective staff training, and full compliance with DABS regulations. Collaborate with the Owl Bar & Beverage Manager, Foundry Grill Chef, and Director of Dining to create memorable guest experiences that reflect Sundance's environmental commitment and Guiding Principles of Welcome, Valued, and Inspired. Essential Duties • Support bar operations, inventory, and cost control to maintain profitability., • Participate in cocktail development, vendor meetings, and alcohol training., • Order and receive supplies; manage inventories and P.O.S. programming., • Ensure compliance with DABS laws, alcohol permits, and safety standards., • Monitor nightly dispensing logs and conduct quarterly alcohol audits., • Maintain floor presence; ensure service standards and guest satisfaction., • Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate staff; maintain payroll accuracy., • Work with manager on developing wine lists, price lists, and specialty drink lists., • Ensure menus, signage, and uniforms are current and professional., • Support recycling and sustainability programs., • Manage musician payments, weekly scheduling, and event postings. Supervisory Responsibilities In the absence of the Bar Manager, oversee daily bar operations by supervising 2-4 bartenders and 2-4 servers. Assist with scheduling, staffing, and maintaining efficient, high-quality service. Perform all supervisory duties in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning and directing work, evaluating performance, and addressing disciplinary actions or employee concerns. Ensure all related documentation and reports are accurately completed and submitted to HR in a timely manner. Qualifications • 2-4 years bartending experience; 1-2 years leadership or management., • Expert knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits., • Experience with POS & inventory systems and basic accounting., • Valid driver's license; must be 21+., • Food Handlers and TIPS/SIPS certification (within 30 days)., • Must pass DABS background check and fingerprinting.
