About the Role: The Product Manager II drives product strategy and execution for assigned product lines and indications, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. This role leads both project-based and topic-specific initiatives—particularly related to surgical products—while partnering closely with fellow Product Managers and Marketing to shape messaging, communications, and supporting assets. The position requires developing deep product expertise, supporting internal and external stakeholders, monitoring product performance through key KPIs, and conducting market research to gather insights that guide prioritization and product decisions. Primary Responsibilities: • Lead cross-functional launch teams and guide US introduction of new products for assigned product lines., • Implement company-wide go-to-market plans and coordinate launch execution, with consideration of patient kit configuration, operational and logistical readiness, packaging and product changes, pricing and warranty topics, internal and customer messaging and communication., • Provide technical review and content support for marketing initiatives (website, digital, print) under guidance from senior Product Managers., • Partner with the Marketing Coordinator to ensure appropriate inventory and timely fulfillment of demonstration kits and equipment., • Maintain accurate representation of assigned product lines on the myMED-EL WebShop, including pricing, descriptions, availability, and product organization., • Serve as a Marketing/Product Management liaison between Operations, Sales, Compliance, Education & Training, Finance, Clinical Research, and other internal teams., • Maintain ongoing communication with MED-EL HQ Product Management; track product topics, follow up on issues, and maintain appropriate documentation., • Coordinate item management between MED-EL US and MED-EL HQ, ensuring accurate item data and classification., • Collect, synthesize, and communicate market feedback related to products, accessories, instruments, labeling, and packaging to MED-EL HQ., • Lead development and revision of product order forms, product catalog, warranty flyers, and related documentation for assigned products or projects., • Attend and/or present at customer conferences, meetings, and field visits (e.g., AAB, SAB, patient events, clinical site visits) to represent MED-EL products and gather feedback., • Partner with Education & Training team to ensure appropriate training on assigned products and launch activities for internal teams and external stakeholders., • Deliver Product Management/Marketing training during new employee orientation and other internal training sessions., • Represent MED-EL US at global Product Management meetings (teleconference or face-to-face) as assigned., • Bachelor’s degree in Audiology, Hearing Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered., • Hearing implant experience and/or surgical support experience preferred., • 3+ years product management experience, preferably within the medical device industry, • Analytical and/or data-driven experience is a value add., • Required competency in Microsoft Office and desired competency in database software., • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to customers, team members, corporate and outside regulatory entities., • Ability to write clear, concise, practical policies and procedures., • Ability to effectively train others in areas of expertise., • Ability to effectively lead cross functional teams to achieve team goals., • Required proficiency in project management., • Ability to develop and nurture positive working relationships with multiple MED-EL departments., • Solid understanding of product/product management activities or ability to apply experience to the product management duties required within MED-EL., • Ability to successfully fulfill responsibilities with minimal supervision., • Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner, work efficiently to carry out tasks in assigned areas & assist others to achieve corporate goals., • Ability to interact courteously and professionally during interactions with customers or the public at large while representing MED-EL., • Ability to work cooperatively with other MED-EL staff, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor., • Ability to follow the latest guidelines set by the company for issues concerning patients and clinics and inter-office procedures.
