Job DescriptionHIRING ASAP Production Technician | $21 - $23 / hr | Intermediate Level | Start ASAP | Multiple Positions Job Description This role focuses on operating, monitoring, and maintaining dry offset printing machinery within a fast-paced production environment. You will ensure that equipment runs safely and efficiently, produce high-quality products, and support continuous production by performing basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Candidates with 2–3 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing or production setting are encouraged to apply, even if they do not have direct dry offset experience. Responsibilities • Start up, operate, and shut down dry offset printing machines safely and efficiently., • Monitor machine performance throughout production runs to ensure consistent output., • Make machine adjustments to maintain product quality and meet production standards., • Troubleshoot basic mechanical and operational issues to minimize downtime., • Unjam machinery and clear minor equipment malfunctions as needed., • Perform routine machine inspections and basic preventative maintenance., • Monitor product quality and make necessary corrections during production., • Follow production schedules and meet established output and efficiency goals., • Use hand tools and other basic equipment to support production and maintenance tasks., • Assist with general production duties such as packing, general labor, and assembly line work as needed., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times., • Adhere to all company safety policies, quality procedures, and standard operating instructions. Essential Skills • 2–3 years of machine operator experience in a manufacturing, production, or printing environment., • Proven ability to start, stop, and adjust machinery independently., • Experience troubleshooting equipment and resolving machine jams., • Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills., • Ability to read and follow work instructions and operating procedures., • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality., • Experience in general production activities such as production work, general labor, assembly, assembly line operations, packing, and use of hand tools., • High school diploma or GED preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Prior experience operating printing or dry offset machinery is a plus., • Comfort working with basic hand tools to support machine setup and minor adjustments., • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment., • Strong reliability, punctuality, and willingness to learn new equipment and processes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lee's Summit, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
