Job DescriptionDescription: Position Overview: PRCKC is seeking a compassionate, adaptable veterinarian (DVM) to join our team of 4 full-time and 2 part-time veterinarians. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys variety, values mission-driven work, and thrives in a collaborative, high-impact environment. Our veterinarians rotate through multiple service areas, including wellness, high-quality high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN), dentistry, urgent care, soft tissue surgery, and mobile outreach. This model allows for professional growth, skill diversification, and meaningful community impact. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality medical care across service areas, including:, • Wellness and preventive care, • Spay/neuter surgery (HQHVSN model), • Dental procedures, • Urgent care services, • Mobile clinic services in the community, • Rotate between departments based on organizational needs and individual skillset, • Perform physical exams, diagnostics, treatment planning, and client education, • Maintain accurate and timely medical records, • Collaborate with veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff to ensure efficient workflow, • Support a positive, respectful, and team-oriented culture, • Uphold PRCKC’s mission of accessible, judgment-free care What Makes This Role Unique: • Variety in Practice: Work across multiple service lines rather than a single-track role, • Mission-Driven Impact: Serve underserved communities and reduce barriers to care, • Collaborative Culture: Team-based care with strong technician and support staff, • Growth Opportunities: Develop skills in surgery, dentals, and community medicine, • Flexible Scheduling: Choose a schedule that works for your lifestyle, • No On-Call Shifts: The schedule you choose will be static, and we'll never ask you to be on-call, • Flexible Days: Do something different each day, and leave when you're done, • Limited Face to Face Contact: You'll have a team of frontline staff at your disposal to speak to owners on your behalf for any conversation that does not require a doctor Our Offer: Compensation & Benefits: PRCKC offers a competitive compensation package including: • Salary range for full-time: $100,000 – $120,000, based on experience and skillset, • Salary range for part-time: $80,000 to $100,000, based on experience and skillset, • CE allowance and professional development support, • Licensing and professional dues support, • 4 weeks paid time off, all major holidays off, plus 4 days off for CE, • Health, dental, and vision insurance, • Retirement plan options, • Employee pet care benefits, • PLSF EligibleRequirements: Education & Licensure: • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited veterinary school., • Current Missouri veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain)., • Current Kansas veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain).Experience:, • Experience in high-volume spay/neuter, shelter medicine, or nonprofit veterinary practice preferred, but not required.
