Job Description Job Title: Electronics Assembler Job Description The Electronics Assembler builds electronic components and products by following detailed work instructions, assembly samples, and production orders. This role involves working with small, intricate parts, using hand and power tools, and performing basic electrical assembly and soldering tasks in a clean, well-organized manufacturing environment. Responsibilities • Review production orders, assembly samples, and job specifications to determine appropriate assembly procedures., • Review component lists and obtain parts, sub-assemblies, and mechanical components from the warehouse before starting assembly., • Perform mechanical assembly of small parts and sub-assemblies according to written work instructions., • Visually inspect parts and sub-assemblies to verify proper fit, alignment, and overall quality., • Install printed circuit board assemblies and wire harnesses into housings according to assembly methods., • Position and fasten parts or wires using hand tools and power hand tools, ensuring secure and accurate connections., • Solder electrical connections following established assembly methods and quality standards., • Use measuring tools, such as tape measures, to verify dimensions and ensure components meet specifications., • Advise the floor lead or supervisor of any issues encountered when fitting or assembling parts or sub-assemblies., • Identify and suggest ways to improve productivity, quality, and safety within the assembly process., • Solve minor assembly-related problems independently and recognize issues that require supervisor assistance., • Follow verbal and written instructions accurately and ask clarifying questions when needed., • Communicate and listen effectively in a professional and courteous manner with team members and leadership., • Maintain attention to detail and work in an organized, neat manner at all times., • Perform simple math calculations, including addition, subtraction, and counting, to support assembly and inventory tasks., • Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills to work with small, detailed components., • Ability to read and follow work orders, written instructions, and assembly samples., • Ability to follow and respond to verbal instructions regarding daily duties., • Experience or demonstrated ability in mechanical assembly of small parts or sub-assemblies., • Ability to perform basic electrical assembly and soldering tasks., • Proficiency using hand tools and power hand tools safely and effectively., • Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures accurately., • Attention to detail with a focus on producing neat, high-quality work., • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and counting., • Effective communication and listening skills in a professional environment., • Ability to identify minor issues, troubleshoot simple problems, and recognize when to escalate larger issues., • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus., • Previous experience in electronic assembly is highly beneficial., • Soldering experience or training is preferred., • Experience with electrical assembly or working with printed circuit boards and wire harnesses is advantageous., • Basic computer skills to assist with accessing work instructions and production documentation., • Strong organizational skills to manage components, tools, and work area efficiently. Work Environment This role is based in an extremely clean, well-lit manufacturing facility designed to support precision electronic assembly. You will work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing a consistent daytime schedule. The position involves working at an assembly workstation with small components, printed circuit boards, and wire harnesses, using hand tools, power hand tools, soldering equipment, and basic measuring tools. The environment supports focused, detailed work with an emphasis on organization, safety, and maintaining a neat work area. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, ND. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
