Job Description Mechanical Technician Fargo, ND – Full Time Productive Resources () is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team for our customer's facility in Fargo, ND. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will perform instrumented tests using existing procedures to verify that system performance meets product specifications. Support assigned product groups in product validation and verification process associated with production requirements. Provide problem identification and resolution, corrective action and tracking and reliability analysis. Provide input on test procedures to engineers and support personnel as required. This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization. Duties: • Perform inspection, testing, and failure analysis as necessary to determine cause of defective electronic assemblies., • Research, gather and summarize data for use in determining root cause., • Rework products per company and industry standards., • Build test harnesses, loads, fixtures and/or circuit boards to support product design as required., • Document and maintain records relating to work performed., • Inform supervisor and engineering of process or design problems and assist in corrective actions., • Conduct manual test of electronic circuits and PCBs according to engineering instructions., • Communicate with both internal and external customers in a professional and effective manner., • Create or update test documentation when required for prototype products., • Design and build advanced engineering test boxes., • Perform other associated tasks as required from their supervisor and engineers., • Train other personnel as required., • Conduct manual test of electronic assemblies and document results., • Set up lab equipment per engineering instruction., • Perform maintenance on equipment and products. Requirements: • A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification or equivalent experience., • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills., • Minimum one year of related experience., • Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing., • Understanding of trouble shooting methodologies to identify root cause., • Ability to read and comprehend engineering documents, e.g., schematics or diagrams., • Ability to maintain necessary product records and documentation., • Ability to work independently. Preferred: • Strong mechanical aptitude., • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and electronic components., • Knowledge of test equipment, e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc., • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Electronics, electrician/electrical contracting, on-road/off-road, automotive repair, communication/networking hardware, robotics, automation, or mechatronics, farming.
