Job Description Licensed Journeyman Electrician – Denver, CO (Relocation Opportunity Available) Pay:$35–$42/hour (DOE) Schedule: Full-time, consistent work – 40 hours Location: Denver Metro | Fort Collins to South Denver Relocation Note: This position is based in Denver, Colorado. Relocation assistance is not provided, but housing opportunities may be available. We are seeking electricians in Colorado,Nebraska, Iowa(or nearby states with reciprocity) who are already planning or open to relocating to Denver for a long-term, full-time role. About the Opportunity We are hiring a Licensed Journeyman Electrician for a direct-hire, long-term position with a small, highly specialized commercial electrical contractor based in Denver. This company works on a wide range of commercial projects including new construction, remodels, tenant improvements, shutdowns, and specialty facilities. You’ll work alongside a tight-knit, experienced crew with consistent hours and steady project flow. A company-provided van is included for job-site travel (Must have Clean Driving Record). Key Responsibilities • Perform commercial electrical installations, upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs, • Work on tenant improvements, service calls, remodels, and specialty commercial projects, • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job specifications, • Install conduit, wiring, panels, breakers, and electrical systems, • Troubleshoot electrical systems and controls, • PLC programming and troubleshooting (preferred, not required), • Maintain compliance with NEC, local codes, and safety standards, • Work independently or collaboratively within a small team Licensing & Requirements • Active Journeyman Electrician license from Colorado, or a state that reciprocates with Colorado, • Common examples include Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, • Ability to obtain a Colorado Journeyman license through reciprocity prior to start, • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record, • 3+ years of commercial electrical experience preferred, • Reliable, safety-focused, and self-directed : • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. May install or service street lights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems., • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes., • Place conduit, pipes, or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes., • Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures., • Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps., • Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools., • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components., • Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations., • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes., • Direct or train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures., • Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system., • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem., • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes., • Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors., • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous., • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools., • Construct or fabricate parts, using hand tools, according to specifications., • Provide preliminary sketches or cost estimates for materials or services., • Perform business management duties, such as maintaining records or files, preparing reports, or ordering supplies or equipment., • Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches or outlets., • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit or moving or lifting heavy objects., • Provide assistance during emergencies by operating floodlights or generators, placing flares, or driving needed vehicles.
