What you'll be doing The Visual Design Lead sits within the Marketing team and partners closely with Creative, Digital, Product, Strategy, and Clinical stakeholders to shape and evolve ERC Pathlight's visual brand and digital experience. This role provides visual design leadership by translating brand and business strategy into high-quality, user-centered design across channels and platforms. The Visual Design Lead is responsible for elevating visual storytelling, maintaining and evolving the design system, and delivering cohesive, accessible, and high-performing design solutions across web, email, social, print, and campaign experiences. This role exercises independent judgment in establishing visual standards, design approaches, and design solutions that support brand strategy, user experience, and business objectives. Through strong collaboration and hands-on design execution, this role ensures brand consistency, design excellence, and a seamless experience across devices—supporting organizational goals and improving access to care. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Creative Leadership & Visual Direction, • Provide visual design leadership by setting and maintaining a strong creative vision aligned with brand strategy and business objectives., • Uphold and evolve brand integrity, consistency, and quality across all design outputs., • Stay current on visual design, branding, and digital experience best practices, proactively introducing new ideas, tools, and approaches, • Strategy-to-Execution Collaboration, • Translate marketing, product, and brand strategy into compelling visual design solutions that support business objectives and user needs., • Collaborate closely with partners across Marketing, Creative, Copy, UX, Product, Digital, and Clinical teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact work across channels and platforms., • Contribute a strong point of view while remaining highly collaborative, curious, adaptable, and open to feedback when navigating ambiguity, evolving priorities, and complex creative challenges., • Balance creative excellence with business considerations by incorporating stakeholder input, user experience principles, and strategic direction into design decisions., • Design Execution Across Channels, • Design and extend visual assets across web, email, social, print, advertising, and integrated campaigns., • Produce high-quality visual design deliverables, including image sourcing, digital artwork, layout, typography, and light animation as needed., • Ensure all work reflects a mobile-first, user-centered approach and adheres to accessibility and responsive design standards., • Design Systems & Quality Standards, • Own, maintain, and evolve the design system to ensure scalability, consistency, and efficiency across channels and platforms., • Establish and apply visual standards, templates, and guidelines that support speed, quality, and brand alignment., • Production & Delivery Excellence, • Oversee and produce high-quality, pixel-perfect design assets and clear design documentation for development handoff and print production, applying established standards and professional judgment., • 7+ years of experience as a visual, web, or product designer in an agency or in-house setting., • A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design skills across multiple mediums., • Excellent organizational skills and a very high level of attention to detail., • A solid point of view and a collaborative nature., • Follow through ownership of getting a job completed on time even with tight deadlines., • Dedicates time to understand the requested task, or feedback and decisions being made. Isn't afraid to ask questions to ensure clarity for informed decision making., • Mastery of design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite), with experience contributing to comprehensive design systems., • Expertise in user-centered design, responsive design, and accessibility standards., • A mobile-first design philosophy and a proven ability to create seamless, multi-device experiences., • The ability to translate complex product information and marketing messages into simple, intuitive, and elegant visual narratives., • Good eye for layout, skilled in typesetting, retouching and animation., • Motion and 3D experience is a plus, • Remote: Mondays and Fridays, • On-site: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays The compensation range for the Visual Design Lead role is $100,000-$125,000 annually. This range reflects current market standards and may vary based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
