    We are seeking a reliable, part-time Kitchen Aide to join our team on an as-needed, substitute basis. Our center is a glatt kosher facility serving older adults, and we receive catered meals daily. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule and be comfortable jumping in when needed, sometimes with short notice. Duties Assist with receiving and properly storing catered meals Plate and serve meals in accordance with kosher guidelines and food safety standards Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and serving areas Follow all Department for the Aging (DFTA) and Department of Health protocols Stock supplies and ingredients as needed, ensuring that all items are properly labeled and stored Assist with clean-up, including sanitizing surfaces, washing utensils, and organizing supplies Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and program staff Qualifications Food Handler’s Certificate (preferred) Prior experience in food service or kitchen work, especially in a kosher setting, is a plus Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Willingness to learn new skills Must be punctual, reliable, and respectful to older adults Flexibility to work as a substitute with varied weekly hours Additional Info Part-time, substitute position Typically serving 70 meals per day, sometimes up to 100 Kosher facility: familiarity with kosher kitchen standards is beneficial Location: Forest Hills, Queens Join our team as a Kitchen Aide and contribute to serving delicious meals while gaining valuable experience in the ktichen!
