Job Description Founded by Tzurit Or in 2007, Tatte Bakery began in a home kitchen and at Boston farmers markets after opening its first café in Brookline, Massachusetts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Our front of house team members welcome and care for guests in our cafés. Counter Team Members play an important role in delivering genuine hospitality, sharing product knowledge, supporting smooth café operations, and maintaining a clean and organized environment, while our Baristas bring together thoughtful craftsmanship and hospitality to prepare beautiful, high quality espresso beverages. We’re looking for team members who are engaging, collaborative, and passionate about food, coffee, and hospitality. We expect our front of house team members to: • Bring warm, welcoming, and engaging communication skills to every guest interaction, • Have a passion for and strong knowledge of our coffee menu, bakery, and savory offerings, along with genuine hospitality, • Work collaboratively and support the team wherever needed, • Live Tatte’s core values and support our mission, • Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, afternoons, and evenings, • Ideally, barista candidates will have prior experience using manual espresso equipment in a fast paced café or restaurant environment Summary of Counter Team Members’ Primary Responsibilities • Provide gracious and high quality service to guests throughout their café experience, • Welcome guests, answer questions, and guide guests through menu offerings, • Develop comprehensive knowledge of all Tatte products, • Take guest orders using the point-of-sale system/register, • Execute all product packaging and presentation standards, • Deliver food and beverages to guests with hospitality and care, • Maintain clean, organized, and well stocked café stations, • Support café cleanliness and uphold visual and brand standards, • Follow all safety, sanitation, and operational procedures at all times, • Support café operations and assist with additional tasks as needed, • Other related assignments as necessary Summary of Baristas’ Primary Responsibilities • Provide gracious and high quality service to guests throughout their café experience, • Develop comprehensive knowledge of all Tatte products and offerings, • Prepare and serve beverages according to Tatte recipes and presentation standards, • Answer guest questions and support menu navigation, • Operate all barista station equipment according to company standards, • Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary, and well stocked bar area, • Create beautiful and artistic espresso beverages with consistency and care, • Support café operations and assist with additional tasks as needed, • Other related assignments as necessary ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / WORKING CONDITIONS • Strong communication skills, • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, • Ability to grasp and reach overhead, • Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+ lbs, • Must be able to stand and work on feet for 8+ hours per day OUR BENEFITS & PERKS • Competitive Pay: Counter Team Members earn $11.50–$14.00/hour plus tips.
