Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospital campuses, 31 outpatient centers, clinics, emergency rooms, urgent care sites, along with our 17,000 employees, more than 3,000 affiliated physicians and 2,000 volunteers. This is a benefited, part time position (48 hours every 2 weeks) working 12-hour night shifts on varied nights. Hours are generally 1830-0700. Rotating holidays and weekends required. Located at Scripps Centralized Services on Rehco Road. Job Description Job description TLC Medical Transport is looking for a EMT Operations Supervisor to train and oversee the start of our BLS Division. The Supervisor will work closely with the Operations Manager and oversee the EMT's and FTO's. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Resolve issues/inquiries from field personnel regarding work assignments, vehicles, equipment, etc., • Respond on an ambulance as part of the EMS system to meet compliance standards and provide quality care., • Develop coordinated teamwork between field crews as part of an integrated operation – clinical performance plan., • Investigate and resolve incoming customer service inquiries., • Approve or disapprove shift exchanges when proper notice of request has been given after normal business hours and forward the changes to the scheduling coordinator., • Resolve scheduling conflicts that may occur during shifts to ensure continuation of the highest level of service and forward those changes to the scheduler., • Maintain knowledge of all company policies and regulations ensuring consistency in interpretation of such when dealing with employees and the general public., • Maintain an “open door” policy to field employees and encourage crew members to discuss any issues, and make suggestions for improvement., • Participate with new employee orientation., • Coordinate with the field training officers and clinical manager to identify clinical opportunities for improvement, and provide follow-up as necessary., • Act as a liaison between field personnel, Operations Manager, and Executive Leadership., • Oversee day-to-day operations, resolving daily issues that may arise. Support and encourage field personnel, ensuring the standards of Ambulance are carried out in the field., • Oversee Investigations and Employee Performance issues., • Adhere to all company policies and procedures., • Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone’s responsibility. This role requires a proactive approach to workplace health and safety, with a strong emphasis on emergency preparedness, rapid response, and coordination with safety personnel. The EMT also assists in maintaining health and safety compliance and may perform limited occupational health duties. Key Responsibilities: • Respond promptly to medical emergencies, accidents, and incidents across the shipyard., • Perform basic and advanced first aid, CPR, and emergency medical procedures within the scope of EMT certification., • Conduct medical assessments and triage to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses., • Stabilize patients and coordinate transportation to external medical facilities when needed., • Maintain accurate and confidential patient care reports and incident logs., • Inspect and maintain medical supplies, first aid stations, and emergency equipment throughout the shipyard., • Participate in safety drills, emergency response training, and health and safety audits., • Collaborate with safety, environmental, and operations teams to support a safe working environment., • Provide education and training on basic first aid, CPR, and injury prevention to employees., • Assist in medical clearances, drug testing, and occupational health screenings if applicable. Qualifications: Required: • High School Diploma or equivalent., • Current certification as an EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT-Paramedic (State and/or National Registry)., • CPR/AED certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)., • 1–2 years of EMT experience, preferably in industrial, construction, or maritime environments., • OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Maritime Certification., • Experience working in a shipyard, port, or heavy industrial setting., • Familiarity with OSHA, USCG, and other maritime safety regulations., • Ability to lift, carry, and move patients or equipment up to 50 lbs., • Capable of working in physically demanding and high-stress environments., • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in confined spaces., • $22/HR to $27/HR DOE, • Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and training allowances.
