Job Description Full-Time Nanny Position Available – College Park Applicants must have at least 3 years of professional childcare experience, be able to pass a background check, and have reliable transportation. About the Role We’re currently looking for someone with strong newborn credentials, ideally someone with NICU or nursing experience and experience working with children of 5+ years. This would be a nanny role that centers around caring for a medically fragile but thriving 7‑week‑old who was born at 25 weeks and spent three months in the NICU. The family needs someone mature, attentive, and confident with preemies, paced feeding, reflux‑aware handling, and developmental support. Current Openings College Park – Infant born premature • Start Date: mid July- early August, • Schedule: Monday 7 am - 12 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 7 am - 4 pm, and occasional Fridays Pay Range: $22–30/hour (higher range for candidates with nursing or NICU background) Why Work With Twinkle Toes? Compensation: $19 - $22 hourly Responsibilities: • Providing attentive, nurturing, one-on-one care for a medically fragile premature infant while maintaining a calm, safe, and developmentally supportive environment., • Following an individualized infant care routine, including cue-based wake windows, feeding schedules, naps, and age-appropriate developmental activities., • Supporting healthy development through tummy time, sensory play, reading, gentle interaction, and other activities that encourage developmental milestones., • Preparing bottles of expressed breast milk, following paced feeding techniques, and utilizing reflux-aware feeding and positioning practices as instructed by the family., • Monitoring the infant's comfort and well-being throughout the day, including burping, upright positioning after feedings when appropriate, and observing for any changes that should be communicated to the parents., • Maintaining excellent hygiene practices, including sanitizing bottles, feeding supplies, toys, and other baby-related items to help support the health of an immunocompromised infant., • Promoting a screen-free, engaging environment through responsive caregiving, play, and developmental interaction., • Completing child-related household responsibilities during nap times, including baby laundry, maintaining an organized nursery, tidying play areas, and keeping baby supplies clean and stocked., • Providing additional light household assistance, such as unloading and reloading the dishwasher and folding household laundry, when time allows and the infant's needs have been met., • Maintaining open, proactive communication with parents regarding feedings, naps, daily activities, developmental progress, and any health or behavioral observations., • Following all family care instructions related to feeding, sleep, hygiene, and developmental recommendations while providing consistent, attentive care., • Working comfortably in a home with friendly family dogs, understanding they may be present throughout portions of the day. Ideal Candidate • 5+ years of professional nanny experience, with significant newborn care experience required., • Experience caring for premature infants or medically fragile newborns strongly preferred., • Background in neonatal care, pediatric healthcare, or certification as a newborn care specialist is highly valued., • Confident with paced feeding, reflux management, and following individualized infant care plans., • Exceptionally attentive, patient, dependable, and comfortable communicating closely with parents., • Understands the importance of infection prevention and maintaining a clean, hygienic environment for a medically vulnerable infant., • Seeking a long-term position and excited to become an important part of a family's support system.
