Job Description Material Handler – Group Leader The Material Handler – Group Leader will be responsible to oversee a team of material handlers supporting our computer server assembly warehouse. This role ensures that materials are delivered accurately and efficiently to meet production demands, while maintaining high standards for inventory accuracy, safety, and workflow coordination. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in material handling, and a solid understanding of electronics or server assembly environments. Key Responsibilities: · Lead and coordinate daily activities of a team of material handlers to support assembly line operations and production schedules. · Ensure timely and accurate material movement, staging, kitting, and delivery to assembly areas. · Monitor and support inbound and outbound logistics, including receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping. · Serve as the first point of contact for resolving issues related to inventory discrepancies, material shortages, or delivery delays. · Train new team members on ESD-safe handling practices, material flow processes, and warehouse procedures. · Enforce 5S, Lean principles, and company safety standards on the warehouse floor. · Collaborate with warehouse supervisor, planners, and production teams to ensure alignment between material flow and build plans. · Conduct basic administrative tasks including team attendance tracking, work assignments, and shift reports. · Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment when necessary. · Assist with cycle counts, audits, and inventory control initiatives to maintain accuracy. · This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Minimum Qualifications: · Associates degree; additional training or coursework in logistics/supply chain is a plus · Minimum 2–4 years of material handling or warehouse experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or team coordinator role · Experience in a server assembly, electronics manufacturing, or high-tech warehouse environment preferred · Strong understanding of ESD handling protocols and inventory systems (ERP/WMS) · Basic computer skills for data entry, reporting, and email communication · Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) Preferred Qualifications: Skills: · Strong leadership and team coordination skills · High attention to detail and organizational ability · Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills · Clear communication and ability to lead by example · Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment Education/Experience: Physical Requirements: · Frequent walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and interaction with warehouse and production teams Work Environment: · Modern, clean, climate-controlled warehouse and assembly areas
