Job DescriptionDescription: We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care, works well in a collaborative environment, and communicates effectively with both team members and clients. Responsibilities: • Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures, • Perform and monitor anesthesia under veterinary supervision, • Obtain and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, cytology, etc.), • Conduct radiographs and other diagnostic imaging as needed, • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed, • Monitor and care for hospitalized patients, ensuring comfort and accurate treatment, • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation, • Educate clients on pet care, treatment plans, and medication instructions, • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment area, • Support patient handling and restraint with a focus on safety and low-stress techniques Requirements:, • Veterinary Technician certification or licensure preferred (CVT/LVT/RVT) or eligibility to obtain certification or 3+ years of experience, • Prior experience in a veterinary clinical setting strongly preferred, • Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology and procedures, • Experience with patient handling, restraint, and low-stress handling techniques, • Ability to assist with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support (or willingness to be trained), • Competency in collecting and processing laboratory samples, • Basic proficiency with radiography and diagnostic imaging (or willingness to learn), • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical records, • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, • Excellent communication skills with both team members and clients, • Compassion for animals and commitment to high-quality patient care, • Ability to lift, restrain, and handle animals of varying sizes when needed, • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends or holidays if required, • Proficiency with veterinary software is a plus
