Join this high-performing team and support a thriving regional economy! SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE The Senior Systems & Security Analyst performs complex systems analysis and information security work. This role focuses on analyzing and improving computer systems, monitoring and securing network activity, implementing security protocols, and coordinating system design, deployment, and training activities. The position works under limited supervision and exercises considerable initiative and independent judgment while ensuring system reliability, security, and compliance with applicable standards. Role and Responsibilities Depending on organizational needs, may: • Analyzes new and existing business procedures, systems, and workflows to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and operational performance., • Collaborates with users and stakeholders to identify system requirements and translate business needs into functional and technical design specifications., • Designs, modifies, and implements new or revised information systems to support organizational business and operational objectives., • Develops and maintains system documentation, including flowcharts, diagrams, and process descriptions that define system logic and operational processes., • Monitors network traffic and system activity to identify suspicious, unauthorized, or anomalous behavior and potential security risks., • Conducts risk assessments by analyzing system vulnerabilities and evaluating potential threats to information systems and network infrastructure., • Implements, configures, and maintains security controls and protocols, including firewalls, antivirus solutions, and encryption mechanisms., • Responds to system and security incidents, investigates root causes, and takes appropriate corrective actions to mitigate threats and prevent recurrence., • Tests, diagnoses, and troubleshoots system issues to ensure systems meet critical operational and security requirements, and performs ongoing system maintenance., • Ensures compliance with applicable cybersecurity standards and requirements, coordinates system installations, upgrades, and user training, and educates staff on system functionality and security best practices. Experience and Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a related field plus a CompTIA Security+ certification. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES • Knowledge of computer systems capabilities and limitations, operating systems, hardware, and software., • Knowledge of information security concepts, cybersecurity standards, and risk assessment practices., • Skill in problem-solving, system testing, implementation, and troubleshooting., • Ability to analyze systems and procedures and develop clear technical documentation., • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders., • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment on complex technical matters.
