Job DescriptionStable commercial insurance carrier is seeking a skilled Production Commercial Underwriter to support new and renewal business for agents, while increasing the company’s presence in the territory, and help drive in profitable business. This production-oriented underwriter should be able to build relationships with their agents and identify target accounts. Key Responsibilities • Underwrite new and renewal commercial business; visit agents and develop relationships, • Analyze submissions, approve or deny coverage based on risk, while identifying new business opportunities, • Conduct regular agency meetings; educate agents on product offerings virtually and in person, • Make underwriting recommendations on coverages, limits, pricing, and terms, • Rate and process new business, renewals, endorsements, and inspections, • 5+ years of experience in commercial underwriting insurance, • Background working with a P&C insurance carrier, • Strong commercial underwriting knowledge and relationship-building skills, • High-energy, personable approach to client interactions, • Self-motivated with passion for the insurance business, • Technical proficiency in Commercial product lines, • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, • Excellent comprehensive benefits package, • Competitive compensation structure, • Career growth opportunities
