Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. Menu Development: Create new recipes and dishes that align with the restaurant's vision. Develop entire menus when needed, ensuring a balance of flavors, cost-effectiveness, and customer appeal. Experiment with new ingredients and techniques to keep the menu fresh and exciting. Cost Management: Accurately calculate food costs for new and existing recipes. Monitor and control kitchen wastage to minimize costs and maintain profitability. Ensure accurate stock levels by conducting daily inventory checks and ordering supplies as needed. Supplier Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure the best quality ingredients at competitive prices. Manage orders to avoid overbuying and reduce food waste. Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure that all food items meet the restaurant's quality standards. Maintain all kitchen operations in compliance with sanitary and safety regulations. Implement and enforce all necessary health and safety requirements to pass inspections from sanitation authorities. Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Head Chef, with proven experience in managing all kitchen processes. Strong understanding of kitchen operations, cost control, and menu development. Skills: Proficiency in English and Spanish is strictly required. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage all aspects of the kitchen. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers.
