Utility Sales Manager (Solar Inverter / BESS)

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Utility Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts and expand our presence in the utility-scale solar and BESS market. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in solar energy systems, particularly inverter and energy storage technologies, along with a proven track record in managing and closing large-scale projects with EPCs, developers, and utilities. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute sales strategies targeting utility-scale solar and BESS projects , driving market share growth in the large-scale segment, • Identify and engage with key stakeholders including IPPs, EPCs, developers, and utilities , building strong long-term partnerships, • Lead the full sales cycle from project identification, bidding, negotiation to contract closure for large-scale projects, • Provide technical and commercial support to customers, including system solutions, product positioning, and value proposition, • Monitor and analyze market trends, policies, and competitor activities within the utility-scale solar sector, • Achieve or exceed annual sales targets through effective pipeline management and project forecasting, • Collaborate with internal teams (technical, product, marketing) to deliver customized solutions and proposals, • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings, • Provide regular reporting on project pipeline, sales performance, and market insights, • Collect customer feedback and work with product teams to optimize solutions for utility-scale applications Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field, • Minimum 5 years of experience in utility-scale solar/BESS sales (must have large project experience), • Proven track record in managing and closing large-scale solar or energy storage projects, • Strong understanding of PV systems, grid connection, and inverter/BESS technologies, • Familiar with utility-scale project development cycle , including EPC, tendering, and financing structures, • Strong network with developers, EPCs, or utilities is highly preferred, • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, • Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office, • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50%)
