You’ll join a team of leaders focusing on empowering our global team of artists delivering the highest quality assets for our franchise. We’re seeking an experienced artist who knows the ins and outs of creating realistic models across three disciplines, Characters, Weapons and Vehicles, both technically and visually. Collaborating comes natural to you, guiding others to be successful in their task. You can describe and educate artists about why or how an asset can look better and be more performant in the game. As a mentor, you’re proactively finding solutions to improve pipelines and workflows and deliver clear and constructive feedback to both internal and external artists with confidence. Being an ambassador for our key art models, characters, weapons and vehicles, you’ll represent the Infinity Ward Studio within Activision, collaborating with other leads, photogrammetry experts and Directors within our studios.ResidencyThis role is based in our Barcelona office and follows an onsite work schedule of five days per week.Responsibilities- Responsible for maintaining quality across all Characters, Weapons and Vehicles made for the project by our global team of artists.- Maintain and mentor artists on established franchise workflows and best practices.- Prioritize and assign tasks and initiatives to the team to ensure the best possible results, while aligning with Directors, Production and Outsourcing Managers.- Research and incorporate latest techniques and industry standards.- Work closely with Tools, Engine, and Tech Art counterparts to develop new workflows, or improve upon existing tools and technologies to streamline team efficiency.- Create documentation of processes for others to follow as needed.- Provide feedback to both internal and external artists regarding quality and technical execution.Player Profile Experience- 7+ years of industry experience creating realistic models for 3rd person games as a Sr. Artist or in an Art Leadership position.- 3+ years in a leadership position, supervising artists to deliver higher quality assets.- Ability to lead by example, creating or guiding artists to create benchmark quality assets.- Experience working with photogrammetry to add realistic details to assets.- Advanced skills in software: Unreal Engine, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop.- Strong knowledge of 3D modeling software (Zbrush, Maya, Max, Blender, etc.)- Unmatched understanding of Physically Based Rendering (PBR) practices.Key Attributes- Takes direction well and can confidently give clear concise direction.- Willingness to improve and learn new skills.- Able to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.PlatformFounded in 2002, Infinity Ward is the original studio behind the Call of Duty® franchise.
