EMEA Recruitment is delighted to support a global, market-leading consumer goods and technology manufacturing business in recruiting an experienced IT Project Manager to join its international IT Project Management Office in Spain (Barcelona). This role will support a broad portfolio of enterprise IT projects, large-scale delivery initiatives, and digital transformation across a complex international matrix environment. This opportunity offers broad exposure across IT strategic thought leadership, software development, infrastructure initiatives, program budgeting, and cross-functional stakeholder management within a fast-paced, global environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving PMO governance, supporting global business-critical systems, managing risks, and partnering with senior leadership and external technical partners across regional and global teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially-minded, highly analytical, and hands-on IT Project professional who enjoys working in a complex multinational business with high visibility and regional exposure. Key responsibilities: • Develop and manage program budgets, schedules, resource plans, and track performance metrics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery, • Serve as the single point of contact for program-level communication. Partner closely with Project Managers, Business Relationship Managers, internal/external technical teams, and global vendors, • Ensure all assigned programs and projects strictly adhere to internal IT PMO governance standards, compliance requirements, and project methodologies, • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may impact program execution, ensuring critical issues and alternatives are escalated to program sponsors in a timely fashion, • Develop, maintain, and report on an overall integrated delivery plan, providing clear status updates, KPIs, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, • Drive continuous improvement, business process reengineering, and change management processes to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and technologies Candidate profile: • 10+ years of relevant experience managing large-scale IT programs, complex projects, or strategic technology delivery, with a strong background in senior IT consulting or software project management, • Strong expertise leveraging Agile (Scrum), Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies to drive successful outcomes, • Deep understanding or hands-on experience with ERP implementations, migrations, and rollouts (e.g., SAP, SAP S/4 HANA), custom software development, data strategies, or business-critical applications, • Proven experience operating within a complex multinational matrix organization, successfully coordinating cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams, • Exceptional working knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project for scheduling/tracking, Jira/Atlassian) and data solutions (e.g., Power BI, SQL), • Outstanding strategic relationship-building skills, exceptional organizational attention to detail, and a highly analytical, adaptable, and resilient mindset, • Fluent English is required. Native or fluent Spanish (and/or Catalan) is highly preferred and advantageous for local regional exposure, • Degree qualified in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
