To strengthen our Commercial Affiliate in Barcelona, Spain, we are currently hiring a Location: Barcelona Contract: Fulltime, permanent The Opportunity We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Unit Head IG/HAE to lead our commercial operations in Spain as part of the Iberian Cluster Leadership Team. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving commercial excellence, delivering ambitious growth targets, and ensuring strong cross-functional alignment across the organization. In this role, you will shape and execute commercial strategies, lead successful product launches, and build long-term partnerships with key stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem. As Business Unit Head IG/HAE Spain, you will be accountable for the overall commercial performance of the business unit. You will lead a high-performing team, oversee sales and marketing strategies, and ensure alignment with Iberian and global priorities. You will report to the General Manager and serve as a key member of the Iberian Country Leadership Team, contributing to cluster strategy and organizational success. The Role • Drive sales performance across key brands, ensuring achievement of revenue, market share, and volume targets, • Own and manage the commercial P&L, ensuring strong financial performance through effective budgeting, cost control, and ROI optimization, • Lead annual budgeting and long-term planning (MTP) and monitor performance with proactive corrective actions, • Develop and execute the local commercial strategy across sales, marketing, key account management, pricing, and contracting, • Ensure excellence in product launches, including readiness, execution, and market uptake, • Contribute to global and regional brand planning processes, • Lead brand strategy and lifecycle management, including brands in Loss of Exclusivity (LoE), • Drive market intelligence and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions, • Identify risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate business threats, • Advance omnichannel maturity, ensuring optimal integration of digital and field activities, • Leverage innovative approaches to maximize customer engagement and experience, • Drive strong collaboration with Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, Legal, and Finance, • Ensure all commercial activities comply with legal, regulatory, and compliance standards, • Facilitate alignment across the Iberian cluster and with global teams, • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing commercial team Your Skills and Experience: • Degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field, • Minimum 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, • Proven success in product launches at national or regional level, • Significant experience in sales and marketing leadership roles, • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience, • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and P&L management, • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, • Knowledge of the local regulatory and compliance environment, • Professional fluency in English (written and spoken), • Willingness to travel 20–25%, • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field, • Experience working in a matrix organization, • Track record of achieving or maintaining market leadership positions Reporting Relationships: • Reports to: General Manager Iberia, • Direct Reports: Sales & Marketing IG/HAE Why Join Us • Influence strategy at cluster leadership level, • Lead a high-impact business unit with growth potential, • Work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, • Contribute to meaningful outcomes for patients and healthcare systems Join us and contribute to making a difference in the lives of patients with rare diseases.
