Mexico City Full-time Relocation required Reports to the Global Head of Operations (Barcelona) This role is based in Mexico City and requires relocation. The hub is there, the team is there, and proximity is the whole point of the position. We'll support your move. You’ll travel regularly to Barcelona to stay close to the global teams, and across the region — LatAm and the US — as the work requires. Innovamat is an educational organization specialized in mathematics teaching. Founded in Barcelona in 2017, Innovamat provides schools with a comprehensive, evidence-based mathematics program spanning from Early Childhood Education through Secondary School, developed together with leading experts in mathematics didactics, cognition, and neuroscience. The program integrates curriculum, teacher training, assessment, and intervention into a single coherent system. Present in 9 countries and serving more than 720,000 students, Innovamat is one of the few organizations in the sector with efficacy data independently validated by external research institutions. It is also the first non-U.S. organization to successfully complete the California State Board of Education’s adoption process for a core mathematics curriculum. Innovamat runs operations centrally. Supply chain, internal systems, revenue analytics and support engineering all live at headquarters in Barcelona, and they serve all nine countries. That's a deliberate choice: it's how we stay efficient and how a good practice invented in one market reaches the other eight. But some things cannot be run from nine time zones away. Over the last few years we've placed people in Mexico as needs appeared — first a support specialist, then logistics, then post-sale operations, then legal. What started as a handful of individual hires is now a real operations hub serving all of LatAm and the United States. It has grown into a team that needs a single leader on the ground. This role is that leader. Based in Mexico City and reporting directly to our Global Head of Operations in Barcelona, you will own operations across the Americas: lead the local team, act as the operational counterpart for the region’s business leadership, and make sure the way we run things globally actually works in the markets furthest from headquarters. • Customer Support — our in-house squad resolving technical and logistics incidents across the region, • Logistics — controlling last-mile delivery across every country in the region, • Operations Engineering — the systems and processes behind everything that happens after a school says yes: orders, invoicing, deliveries, licences and access, • Legal - managing contracts and local compliance across every country across LatAm and the US, • Finance Operations - running invoicing, payments and collections for the region, in the right time zone and aligned with local tax requirements Each of them is functionally connected to a global discipline led from headquarters, and each works daily with country managers and regional leadership. You’ll be the person who makes the whole thing work as one. Think of our operations as a matrix. The horizontal lines are global disciplines — production and purchasing, logistics, planning, operations engineering, revenue analytics, support — each led from Barcelona and each serving every market. The vertical lines are regions: Europe, Spanish LatAm, Brazil, the United States. You own the American verticals. Your job is to make sure that the wheel those global disciplines turn actually turns well when you look at it from these regions. You don't need to build every solution yourself, but you need to see it and turn it into a clear request for the teams who can. Concretely, that means three things. • Lead the team, in person., • Be the operational reference point for the region., • Challenge us. When you need something from Barcelona, we expect you to come and get it. We design internal processes, tooling and calendars from Barcelona with a global hat on. We’re certain that some of those decisions are wrong for Mexico or for the US, and we can't see it from here. You’ll have the local context we lack, and we expect you to use it: to tell us when a process doesn't survive contact with reality on your side, and to push until it changes. The same applies to our external partners. When a supplier or service provider in the region underperforms, you’ll engage directly at the appropriate level, identify the root cause and drive the resolution. And where a partner selected from headquarters isn't the right fit for your market, we expect you to make the case for change and see it through. You’re an operator. You understand how internal processes and systems actually work, and you understand the business well enough to know which trade‑off is the right one. What we expect you to bring: • Solid experience running operations in a fast‑growing, high‑standards environment — operations, supply chain, business operations, regional operations, strategy and operations, or a strong consulting background followed by real operating roles, • Experience leading a team, including the uncomfortable parts of it, • Comfort moving between a board‑level conversation and a spreadsheet of delivery exceptions in the same afternoon, • Strong stakeholder management across cultures, seniority levels and time zones — you’ll be the bridge between local teams, regional leadership and headquarters, • A structured, systems‑minded way of thinking: you see patterns, you spec solutions clearly, and you don't solve with brute force what can be solved once, • High ownership and resilience. This role gets thrown at the deep end on purpose, • Fluent Spanish and English — both, daily, • Willingness to travel across the region, including to the US, • Comfort using AI tools to make yourself and your team faster Nice to have: exposure to supply chain or physical distribution, familiarity with CRM and operational tooling (Salesforce and similar), and experience in EdTech or any business serving institutional customers. • We aim high. We set ambitious goals and hold a high bar. You’ll be able to grow as much as you want to., • We are owners. From day one you’ll have real responsibility and real impact., • We move fast. Speed and adaptability are what make the difference here., • We’re eager to learn. We challenge ourselves constantly and treat every problem as something to learn from., • We’re humble. We value collaboration, feedback and ideas that work — not hierarchy., • We enjoy the ride. Culture, flexibility and trust are what make impact sustainable. #J-18808-Ljbffr

By participating in pilot projects in key research areas for both academia and industry, the Methodology group combines data analysis of different provenance, including community or consortium-owned databases, and integrating theoretical and simulation-based data. A growing part of this activity consists of adapting technique-specific analysis pipelines and methodologies into robust, reusable and automated data analysis workflows that can be deployed on local, high-performance and cloud computing resources and reused across beamlines, techniques and scientific cases. The selected person will report to the Head of the Methodology Group and will be responsible for the design, development and deployment of data analysis pipelines for multimodal experimental data, with a strong emphasis on automation, reusability and reproducibility. The position implies working in close synergy with beamline scientists, the Joint Electron Microscopy Center at ALBA (JEMCA), other members of the Experiments Division, the Computing Division, in particular the Scientific Data Management Section, and the Industrial Office, as well as external partners.Specifically, the responsibilities will include:Designing and developing end-to-end data analysis pipelines — from raw data ingestion, reduction and pre-processing to analysis, visualisation and reporting — for data produced at synchrotron radiation beamlines and at electron microscopy facilities.Developing data analysis workflows within pilot projects that serve as a testbench to build and validate these methodologies before adapting them for broad usage. For example, combining X-ray diffraction with complementary X-ray absorption spectroscopy, computed tomography and 4D-STEM datasets, including pre-processing steps that optimise computational performance and data-driven or machine-learning-based methods.Adapting existing technique-specific analysis tools and prototypes into modular, configurable and well-documented software components that can be reused across techniques, instruments and scientific cases, and packaging them for distribution.Automating analysis workflows and their orchestration, including scheduling, parallelisation, monitoring, error handling, provenance tracking and quality control, so that analysis can run unattended during and after experimental campaigns and, where relevant, in near real time.Deploying and optimising these workflows on the available computing infrastructures (local servers, computing clusters and cloud services), collaborating with the Computing Division to define containerisation, resource management, data access, storage and API strategies, and to ensure stable and maintainable services for users. In collaboration with the Scientific Data Management section and external partners, structuring and curating the associated (meta)data — data models, formats, catalogues and interfaces — in line with FAIR principles and with ALBA’s scientific data management policy, so that results are traceable, reproducible and reusable.Documenting the developed tools, preparing user guides and training material, and providing scientific and technical support to their users.- Providing Local Contact services to users of workflows as required.Contributing to the scientific and technical activity of the group: participating in data acquisition campaigns when appropriate, taking part in ongoing national and European projects and collaborations, and disseminating results through publications, open-source software releases, presentations, project deliverables and reports.- Communicating with the potential or existing user community for identifying needs and optimally tune the services for high impact.- Any other task or duty of a similar nature, consistent with the job category and with the responsibilities, professional level, and functional scope of the position, that may reasonably be assigned by Management whenever necessary to ensure its proper functioning.RequirementsThe requirements for participation must be met on the date of the deadline for the submission of applications and will be accredited by means of the CV attached to it, without prejudice to the power of the selection body to require the contribution of the originals of the certifications accrediting the qualifications, training and work experience invoked in the CV.Applications that do not present the aforementioned or required documentation during the selection procedure will not be accepted. The successful candidate must:Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, Materials Science or a related field.
