LEGAL LEAD (GENERALIST) Location: Madrid, Spain On site, full time (no remote) Pink’s is scaling fast, with new locations, new jurisdictions, and new projects across the group. Complexity is rising and we need someone who can bring order without killing speed. There is no legal department today. You will build it, set the standards, and be directly responsible for keeping the company legally strong while it grows. We are not looking for a traditional corporate lawyer. We want a hands-on legal engineer with startup or scale up experience, someone who has operated with limited time, resources, and support, and still shipped amazing work. You must be able to sit at any table, from crew to partners and stakeholders, and hold your own in fluent English and Spanish. You need to be level headed, structured, and able to run several high quality tracks at once. We are very aggressive about recognizing and transforming talent. Compensation can move fast if you prove it with results. We are not talking about a symbolic raise, but meaningful jumps when quality, delivery, and ownership are clearly there. Some team members earn several multiples of what they started with because they changed the company’s trajectory and their own. We reward excellence and real impact. We hate bureaucracy and bullshit. Most of our leaders have grown from the front lines, not from corporate backgrounds. They started on the floor, took on bigger problems, and earned responsibility through hard work, discipline, and consistent output. That is the model. This role is demanding. Do not apply if you are not prepared to hold yourself to a very high bar of discipline and output. We care about work produced, problems solved, and opportunities found, not hours in the office. If you already live with high standards in your own life and you want to grow with a company that expects the same, this is the right place. ROLE OVERVIEW You will own all legal topics for Pink’s and related group endeavors from day one. Your objective is simple: keep the company and its structure solid, protect the brand, and allow controlled speed. Clear rules, minimal friction. You will: • Set and run the legal strategy for the group in Spain and other jurisdictions, with a roadmap that you design, defend, and deliver., • Own corporate housekeeping: keep all entities compliant and current, prepare and manage board and shareholder meetings, minutes, powers of attorney, and filings., • Lead meetings at any level, in English and Spanish, with employees, partners, banks, investors, and advisors, and drive them to clear decisions., • Create and structure new entities when needed, and manage the full process with notaries and other local actors., • Protect and grow our IP: trademarks and other rights in Spain, EUIPO, WIPO, US, and other markets, and design the medium and long term IP strategy., • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with landlords, suppliers, platforms, partners, and other stakeholders., • Coordinate licenses, permits, and regulatory processes needed to open and operate new locations and new projects., • Support corporate and tax structuring, deciding what can be solved in house and when to bring in specialists, then managing that external work., • Define and maintain standards for privacy, technology, and data, so product and operations can move fast without creating future landmines., • Use tools intelligently: AI, research platforms, and systems to explore, draft, and stress test options, never as a substitute for your own thinking., • Act as a legal family doctor: know enough across most areas to triage, give first guidance, and choose the right specialists when needed., • Build the legal function from zero: frameworks, templates, priorities, and a small, high quality network of external firms. You are not expected to know everything on day one. You are expected to learn fast, seek answers, anticipate issues before they become real, and keep moving until there is a solution that works. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • Law degree or equivalent., • Solid experience as a legal generalist, typically around 4 to 8 years or similar responsibility level., • Proven in house experience in a startup, scale up, or high growth environment., • Strong track record with commercial contracts, IP and trademarks, privacy, and corporate matters., • Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written., • Ability to work on site in Madrid., • You do not need to be a practicing bar lawyer in Spain, but you must be able to work effectively with notaries, external counsel and any stakeholder the task requires. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience supporting operations across multiple jurisdictions., • Experience handling boards and shareholder meetings, including minutes and corporate formalities., • Experience with IP portfolios in Spain, EUIPO, WIPO, and ideally US or other markets., • Demonstrated ability to work with limited resources, limited time, and incomplete information., • Ability to read a P&L and understand how legal structures and decisions show up in the numbers., • Evidence of having built or significantly upgraded a legal function, process, or standard in a previous role. EXPECTATIONS This role is for someone who: • Operates with high ownership. Problems that cut across Finance, Operations, and Legal are yours to solve., • Is precise and rigorous, but does not hide behind complexity or delay., • Communicates clearly, directly, and concisely with non lawyers., • Makes decisions under uncertainty, with clear reasoning and accountability., • Anticipates issues before they become problems and acts without needing to be pushed., • Uses tools, including AI, to go faster and think better, not to outsource judgment., • Is comfortable in an environment that moves fast, changes direction when needed, and keeps a high performance bar. If you need heavy support structures and a very narrow scope, this role will not fit. WHAT WE OFFER • A central leadership role in a fast growing company that is expanding beyond Spain., • Direct work with the founders and leadership team on high impact decisions., • Full ownership of the legal function and the opportunity to build it from the ground up., • Permanent, full time contract, on site in Madrid., • Compensation ranges from €40k to €100k gross per year, depending on the level you bring. People who raise the bar here see their package move accordingly., • Private health insurance., • Free lunch at Pink’s on workdays., • On site culture, high pace, high trust, low bullshit. We expect every candidate to come prepared. Before you apply or interview, do your homework on Pink’s, understand what we are building, and come with your own questions. If you are not willing to do that, this is not the right place for you. Thanks for the opportunity of being part of your story!!
