About European Blockchain Convention European Blockchain Convention was founded in 2018 in Barcelona with the mission to connect the blockchain, fintech, and digital-assets community through world-class events. Each year, EBC brings together thousands of executives, investors, and startups in Barcelona, and is now expanding internationally with events in London and Abu Dhabi. About the Role We are looking for an Event Director to own the full lifecycle of our events, from marketing to planning and on-site delivery. This is a hands-on, execution-driven position, for a leader who thrives on translating strategy into action, working closely with teams to make things happen. The Event Director will oversee Marketing, Content, and Operations, and work closely with the CCO and Sponsor Success team to guarantee sponsor satisfaction and alignment between sales and delivery. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Event Director will ensure that every edition meets its commercial, experiential, and brand goals while maintaining the standards that define our events. The ideal candidate • Has a strong background in B2B events, conferences, ideally within tech or finance, • Is both strategic and hands-on, able to lead teams, design processes, and get involved in day-to-day execution, • Understands events as brands, products, and communities, and knows how to drive both demand generation and on-site excellence., • Possesses excellent communication and leadership skills & thrives in fast-paced environments Key responsibilities • Lead the full event lifecycle — from marketing to on-site delivery, • Oversee and mentor the Marketing, Content, and Operations teams, • Oversee marketing and demand-generation strategies to drive awareness, attendance, and engagement, • Ensure coherence between content, sponsors, logistics, design, and overall experience., • Supervise the event agenda, startup competition, VIP dinners, and side events, • Work closely with the CCO and Sponsor Success teams to ensure all commitments to clients are fulfilled., • Control event budgets, timelines, and quality standards, • Implement project-management tools and processes (Asana, Notion, etc.) to scale efficiency, • Continuously improve workflows and playbooks for future editions Requirements • 6+ years of experience in B2B event management, conference production, or marketing leadership, • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams (marketing, content, operations), • Strong understanding of marketing, branding, and audience acquisition, • Exceptional project-management, organizational, and leadership skills, • Fluent in English, • Hands-on, proactive, and calm under pressure, • Strategic thinker with an owner mindset, focused on quality, ROI, and long-term brand value What we offer • Competitive salary according to experience and value., • A key leadership position in one of Europe’s top blockchain and fintech event series., • Opportunity to shape the global expansion of EBC across Barcelona, London, and Abu Dhabi., • Young, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment., • 1 day of remote work per week., • High professional upside within a fast-growing international company.
