Economic success and corporate responsibility are inextricably linked. /p pSymrise – always inspiring more… /p h3About the Role /h3 pAt Symrise, we are looking for a Project Engineer to lead and coordinate the successful execution of engineering projects across our production site. /p pIn this role, you will ensure the planning, design, installation, and delivery of industrial systems and equipment, aligning technical solutions with business needs, safety standards, and operational excellence. /p pThis position requires a solid engineering foundation, ideally with a background in Chemical Engineering, enabling you to understand production processes, equipment behavior, and technical constraints within a manufacturing environment. /p pYou will act as a key interface between engineering, operations, suppliers, and project stakeholders, contributing directly to the efficiency, reliability, and long-term performance of our installations. /p h3Project Management Execution /h3 ul liManage the full lifecycle of projects, from planning to execution and final delivery /li liCoordinate activities across bcommercial, technical, logistical, and commissioning phases /b /li liContribute to project portfolio management and budgeting, handling multiple projects simultaneously /li /ul h3Engineering Technical Expertise /h3 ul liPerform btechnical calculations (mechanical and thermodynamic) /b related to production equipment /li liOversee the binstallation of equipment and piping systems /b within production areas /li liEnsure all solutions comply with safety, regulatory, and operational requirements /li /ul h3Procurement Equipment Management /h3 ul liDefine and validate btechnical specifications /b for equipment and materialsbSupport procurement processes to ensure optimal technical and cost-effective solutions /b /li /ul h3Site Coordination Operations /h3 ul liCoordinate installation and engineering activities with different plant departments /li liSupport engineering and maintenance activities across the site /li liMonitor project progress and elevate any risks or non-conformities /li /ul h3External Partners Management /h3 ul liSupervise and manage bcontractors and suppliers /b, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and technical standards /li /ul h3Continuous Improvement /h3 ul liContribute to improving boperational reliability, energy efficiency, and cost optimization /b /li liSupport continuous improvement initiatives across the site /li /ul h3About you /h3 ul liDegree in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields /li liExperience or strong interest in project management within industrial or manufacturing environments /li liGood understanding of production processes and industrial equipment, ideally within chemical, food, fragrance, or similar sectors /li liExperience in multidisciplinary projects /li liKnowledge of SAP or similar systems is a plus /li liFamiliarity with food safety, GMP, or industrial standards is considered an asset /li liStrong coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills /li liAbility to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams /li liProactive mindset, with a drive for continuous improvement and operational excellence /li /ul h3Our Offer /h3 pAt Symrise, you will also have the opportunity to grow professionally and take part in inspiring experiences that contribute to the well-being of millions of people in more than 160 countries.
