About the Role Our client, an innovative player in the streaming space, is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join their growing engineering team. As a senior member of the backend engineering team, you’ll take ownership of designing and developing scalable server-side systems that power millions of user experiences. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to architect robust APIs, optimize system performance, and ensure the seamless operation of next-generation entertainment products. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs. Develop and optimize databases, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval. Collaborate with front-end, DevOps, and product teams to deliver new features. Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability as the user base grows. Implement security best practices across backend systems. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following team standards. Monitor production environments and troubleshoot issues proactively. Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making. About You You’re a highly skilled engineer with a deep understanding of Ruby on Rails and modern backend architecture. You enjoy solving complex technical problems, take pride in building products that scale, and thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments. Requirements 5–7 years’ experience as a Backend Engineer, ideally within high-scale environments. Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails . Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, with experience in schema design and data modeling. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes , and modern CI/CD pipelines. Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs . Strong focus on scalability, performance, and system reliability. Excellent communication skills and fluency in English. Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred (not mandatory).
