Job Title: Kitchen Assistant Job Summary: We are currently seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in the preparation of cold dishes, including desserts, and to support the kitchen with mise en place tasks. Additionally, the Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes and kitchen equipment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, organised, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: 1. Assist the kitchen staff in preparing cold dishes, such as salads, appetisers, and desserts., 2. Follow recipes and portion sizes accurately to ensure consistency in food quality., 3. Prepare ingredients and components for dishes, including chopping fruits, vegetables, and herbs., 4. Set up and maintain designated stations in the kitchen for efficient workflow., 5. Assist in the assembly and plating of cold dishes according to established standards., 6. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, including storage areas and refrigerators., 7. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders, and food processors., 8. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly and efficiently to ensure smooth kitchen operations., 9. Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures at all times., 10. Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies as needed. Requirements: 1. Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred., 2. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment., 3. Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors., 4. Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment., 5. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed., 6. Possess right to work in Spain., 7. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kilograms. Utilizar y mantener correctamente equipos de cocina como batidoras, licuadoras y procesadores de alimentos. Lavar platos, ollas, sartenes y utensilios de manera rápida y eficaz para garantizar el buen funcionamiento de la cocina. Seguir en todo momento las normas de seguridad alimentaria e higiene. Ayudar en la recepción y almacenaje de productos y suministros cuando sea necesario. Requisitos: Se valorará experiencia previa en cocina o en el sector de la restauración. Conocimientos básicos de técnicas culinarias y del uso de equipos de cocina. Capacidad para trabajar en equipo y seguir instrucciones de los responsables de cocina. Atención al detalle y habilidad para trabajar con eficiencia en un entorno de ritmo rápido. Disponibilidad para trabajar por las tardes, fines de semana y festivos según sea necesario. Permiso de trabajo en España. Capacidad física para estar de pie durante largos periodos y levantar hasta 20 kilos.
