Job Description We are looking for an experienced ELT & Bilingual Editor to join our editorial team in Tres Cantos on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave (approximately 9 months). The ideal candidate is flexible, collaborative, and passionate about producing high-quality learning materials that meet the pedagogical and strategic needs of the market. In this role, you will revise and adapt author submissions, create content aligned with educational guidelines, and oversee editorial deliverables alongside cross-functional teams. Collaboration with design, production, digital, and external contributors will be essential. 📋 The post entails the following: • To revise, edit and adapt (re-writing or creating texts and activities) the materials handed in by authors using the editing criteria and style guide. The finished product should be of the highest quality, always keeping in mind the pedagogical and strategic objectives of the market., • To create contents following the guidelines defined by the Editorial Portfolio Manager and under the supervision of the Team Lead or Managing Editor., • To commission and select illustrations and other graphic elements to include in the publications and to ensure their quality., • To participate in the definition of the model unit structure and all demo material., • To revise, proofread and approve the various sets of proofs., • To edit and prepare audio scripts for the recording sessions and their subsequent revision and approval., • To write and prepare storyboards for the development of audiovisual materials that are part of the project., • To manage the components of the assigned project, following the indications of the Managing Editor and the planning schedule, assigning tasks to freelancers and ensuring their delivery., • To coordinate with other departments such as Editorial Services and Digital Product Delivery, ensuring the timely delivery and edition of all works commissioned, and warning of any delays in advance., • To participate in the creation and delivery of digital contents, and participate in the revision of digital products., • To analyze the competition in order to understand market needs, detect any new trends and to ensure that our projects are of the highest quality and perfectly suited to the market., • To visit schools and participate in market research in order to increase contact with the market and detect customer needs. 🧠Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, • at least 3 years experience in textbook edition in either ELT or CLIL., • Native speaker of English. 🌟 Nice to have: • Teaching experience in the bilingual market.
