Job Title: Patent Paralegal – IP DepartmentLocation: Airbus Operations, Getafe (Madrid)Responsibilities- Drive the Patent Application Pipeline: Independently prepare, review, and log online patent applications, ensuring error‑free execution from initial submission to final registration.- Manage Official Patent Office Communications: Proactively draft and coordinate precise responses to office actions, notices from regulatory authorities and communications from partner IP firms.- Optimise Knowledge & Data Management: Establish and maintain a secure and efficient archival system to ensure instant retrieval of critical data; continuously audit the IP portfolio database for maximum accuracy.- Oversee Legal & Statutory Documentation: Seamlessly process and validate critical legal documents, including invention disclosures, assignments, declarations, and formal agreements.- Mitigate Risk through efficient deadline tracking: Partner closely with patent attorneys to monitor, track, and secure critical legal deadlines and due dates.- Act as a Strategic Liaison: Serve as the central communication hub and primary interface connecting inventors, patent attorneys, partner IP firms and international patent offices.- Protect Airbus’ Intellectual Property via Annuity Management: Monitor, authorise and instruct the timely payment of patent maintenance and renewal fees.- Champion Inventor Recognition Programs: Oversee the structural management of the incentive bonus framework, ensuring accurate tracking and liaise with payroll teams to enable prompt incentive payments to inventors.- Streamline IP Financial Operations: Drive end‑to‑end invoice management and contribute to transparent, regular financial reporting directly to the national patent team and the IP management team.Qualifications- Degree‑level education.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Strong negotiation skills.- Team spirit and ability to work in a dynamic environment.- High level of motivation to lead complex projects.- English – negotiation level.- Spanish – fluent.Benefits- Vacation days plus additional days‑off throughout the year.- Attractive salary.- Collective transport service at selected sites.- On‑site facilities: free canteen, kindergarten, medical office.- Participation in social and corporate social responsibility initiatives.- Excellent upskilling opportunities and great development prospects in a multicultural environment.Equal Employment OpportunityAirbus is committed to achieving workforce diversity and creating an inclusive working environment.
