Through innovative solutions such as Insertable Cardiac Monitors (ICMs), we enable clinicians to detect and monitor heart arrhythmias earlier and more accurately, supporting better clinical decisions and outcomes.As a Market Development Specialist, you will play a key role in expanding the adoption of Medtronic Insertable Cardiac Monitors within the Syncope and Cryptogenic Stroke patient populations. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to identify and overcome barriers to access, helping ensure that more patients benefit from this technology. The territory includes Castilla‑León, Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, País Vasco, Navarra, and La Rioja. The preferred location is Valladolid or Salamanca, or another central location within the territory. Occasional travel within Europe may be required for customer engagement and business activities.ResponsibilitiesDrive market development by expanding the use of Insertable Cardiac Monitors (ICMs) in existing clinics and new centers, supporting broader product adoption and identifying new opportunities within the territoryOptimize and help establish patient pathways for Syncope and Cryptogenic Stroke, supporting the development of centers of excellence in collaboration with healthcare providersBuild and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and key stakeholders across the patient pathway, including cardiologists, neurologists, nursing staff, procurement teams, and coding professionalsAct as a key partner to the local sales team to raise awareness of clinical indications and economic value through peer‑to‑peer engagement, education, and regional training initiatives, including workshops and stakeholder roundtablesCollaborate closely with field service, marketing, reimbursement, and other relevant business units (e.G., Cardiovascular and Neurovascular teams) to develop materials, share health‑economic information, and implement national and international programsPartner with the Cardiac Rhythm Management Sales Representative Teams, Technical Consultants and District manager to ensure execution of Cardiovascular Diagnostics & Services projectsDevelop and execute an annual regional market development plan, using account planning tools to define strategies, tactics, and actions, while supporting project work, process optimization, and KPI trackingCapture and report clinical, market, and competitive insights to the Strategic Marketing Team, and represent the business at relevant regional, national, and international meetings and congressesRequired Knowledge and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in a sales role within the Med Tech or pharmaceutical industry, or nursing background in cardiology, neurology, intensive care, operating room, or emergency medical services, with interest in transitioning to a field‑based commercial role, or equivalent industry experienceProfessional experience in a clinical environment or in a medical technology sales roleSolid understanding of anatomy and medical technologiesFluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken)Valid driver’s licenseFriendly and open mindset with a strong service orientation, high level of commitment and motivation, solution‑oriented approach, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team, solid IT skills, willingness to travel, and experience working in a large corporate environment.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package.
