At The Knot Worldwide, we champion celebration — and that starts with celebrating our people. Our employees are passionate dreamers, thoughtful doers, and lifelong learners who power meaningful moments for millions around the world. We’re united by authentic connection, shared purpose, and a deep commitment to the global community we serve. Here, flexibility and belonging go hand in hand with high performance. Driven by our core values, we believe the best ideas come from empowered teams: those who consistently collaborate with intention to design solutions, spark ideas, and drive impact. Our people are at the heart of our success. About The Role And Our Team We are looking for an experienced Principal Product Designer to join our Design team and lead design for the Global Couple & Storefront zone. This role will focus on marketplace experiences across WeddingWire US and international brands, serving both couples and vendors in a complex, multi‑sided ecosystem. Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Research, Design Systems, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs, define opportunities, and shape the direction of our experiences. This role requires an experienced designer who can bring structure to ambiguity, balance needs across a complex marketplace, and move fluidly between strategy, systems thinking, and high‑quality design execution. Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end design for the Global Couple & Storefront zone across WeddingWire US and international brands, creating scalable marketplace experiences that deliver value for couples and vendors and drive positive business outcomes. Design for marketplace complexity, balancing needs across the ecosystem—e.g., couple conversion vs. vendor lead quality, and personalization vs. breadth of choice—to create experiences that serve both couples and vendors. Create scalable, high‑quality design solutions across brands, markets, and surfaces, accounting for localization, market differences, reusable patterns, and design system consistency. Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Design Systems, and additional stakeholders to shape direction, align priorities, and influence decisions across product zones and departments. Support AI transformation efforts where relevant, including AI, automation, self‑checkout, and other scalable experiences that affect couples, vendors, or internal workflows. Drive design execution from problem framing and product strategy through rapid prototyping, iteration, UX/UI design, and delivery‑ready specs, helping teams validate solutions quickly and move into development with clarity. Bring structure and clarity to ambiguous product spaces, helping teams move from broad strategic direction to clear product and design decisions. Successful Candidates Have 8+ years of product design experience, with a track record of leading complex, high‑impact product areas across strategy, UX, visual design, and execution. Strong systems thinking—able to connect dots across user types, platforms, brands, and business models, and contribute to the evolution of a design system. Excellent visual and interaction design craft, with a portfolio showing polished execution, clear UX architecture, and scalable product patterns. Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills, with experience partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Business, Research, Marketing, and Design leadership. Comfort operating in ambiguity, with the ability to bring structure to undefined problem spaces, influence senior stakeholders, and drive alignment without heavy direction. A bias toward rapid prototyping and leveraging AI to make ideas tangible, quickly explore solutions, validate direction, and help teams move into engineering with clarity. Experience with marketplaces, multi‑sided platforms, or similarly complex ecosystems is a plus, especially in products with a strong consumer‑facing component.
