Analyze the structures that will go beyond Earth, where precision meets purpose. At SATLANTIS, we design advanced space technologies with one goal: solving global challenges from above. As a Structural Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the development of our high-resolution optical payloads, ensuring that every structure we launch stands strong against the most demanding space environments. What’s in it for you Mission-driven projects with real-world impact : You’ll contribute to space missions that advance Earth observation, defense innovation, and sustainability. Flexible working hours : Because autonomy and trust are the foundation of high performance. Young, proactive, and dynamic environment : Join a passionate team where collaboration, innovation, and personal growth are part of everyday life. Private health insurance : Your wellbeing comes first, with top-tier medical coverage. Office perks and campus benefits : Enjoy fresh fruit, quality coffee, and discounts at UPV/EHU campus facilities. Your mission You will ensure that SATLANTIS optical payloads and their associated MGSE (Mechanical Ground Support Equipment) meet the highest structural standards through rigorous analysis, simulation, and collaboration. Your work will directly contribute to the reliability, safety, and performance of every payload that leaves our facilities. You will: Lead structural analyses of optical payloads and MGSE using FEM tools, ensuring compliance with mission requirements and quality standards. Define structural requirements and interfaces, supporting System Engineering and Project Management throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and standardize structural analysis processes to improve efficiency, traceability, and consistency across projects. What will set you up for success Experience in structural analysis for demanding environments : You bring at least 2–3 years of experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering, with hands-on expertise using FEM tools (ideally FEMAP) to model, simulate, and validate structures. Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving approach : You enjoy finding elegant technical solutions that balance innovation, performance, and reliability. Collaboration across disciplines : You communicate clearly and work closely with design, optical, and systems engineers to align efforts and ensure structural integrity from concept to testing. Understanding of space industry standards : Familiarity with mechanical and thermo-elastic analyses (quasi-static, sine, random, shock, vibro-acoustic) and an appreciation of “New Space” methodologies will help you thrive in our environment. Passion for technology and precision : Your curiosity, creativity, and technical rigor drive you to achieve excellence in every project you touch. Ready to take your next step into the space industry? If you’re excited about shaping the structures that make space exploration possible and want to work in an environment where your expertise truly matters, apply now and join SATLANTIS’ mission to change how we see our world from space.
