At the same time, you take advantage of the stability, resources, and reach of a bsuccessful global company /b. /p pThe bDirector of Cloud Engineering /b will provide leadership and technical expertise to establish and scale a world‑class Cloud Engineering function at Colliers, with a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role will be responsible for defining the cloud strategy, building robust engineering practices, and ensuring secure, scalable, and cost‑efficient cloud operations across the enterprise. /p pWorking closely with the Director of Software Engineering, DevOps leadership, and other technology stakeholders, this position will drive innovation, automation, and operational excellence in cloud adoption and management. The successful candidate will combine deep technical knowledge with strong leadership skills to influence architecture decisions, optimize cloud performance, and enable business agility. /p ul liDesign continually improve organizational design for the cloud engineering function (team structure, operating model) /li liEstablish and govern the cloud strategy, standards, and architectural guardrails for GCP. /li liWork with Enterprise Architecture to enforce and adopt cloud reference architectures, patterns, and design. /li liEstablish policy‑as‑code frameworks, defining multi‑cloud consistency principles, and articulating a clear cloud security vision. /li liDefine and govern cloud tooling strategy in alignment and partnership with DevOps. /li liDrive cloud‑first, automation‑first, approaches across engineering and infrastructure /li liOversee compliance alignment, platform risk management, and audit readiness /li liMaintain visibility of emerging technologies and assess applicability /li liDefine measurable KPIs/OKRs for reliability, cost optimization, and deployment speed /li /ul pbLeadership and Capability Development /b /p ul liLead a global team of cloud managers, engineers, and other specialists /li liDefine skill development paths, hiring needs, and capability roadmaps /li liFoster a culture of engineering excellence, documentation, and automation /li liCoaching engineers and technical leaders on modern cloud and platform patterns; fostering a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk mitigation; ingraining agile practices and rituals. /li liPromote cross‑team collaboration and shared ownership /li liPromote diversity, inclusion, and succession planning within the team. /li /ul pbFinancial and Vendor Management /b /p ul liOwn cloud financial management, cost optimization strategies. /li liPartner with Finance and product owners for budget planning and cost transparency. /li liManage relationships with cloud providers and manage enterprise agreements. /li /ul pbDelivery Quality and Operation Excellence /b /p ul liOversee the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud infrastructure across GCP and Azure. /li liPartner with Enterprise Architecture to guide and finalize cloud architectural decisions. /li liAlign with Information Security to uphold and evolve security policies, configurations, and compliance. /li liOwn and commit to defining and achieving Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Objectives (SLOs). /li liDevelop and maintain operational playbooks, runbooks, and comprehensive service readiness programs. /li liOversee IaC standards, CI/CD integrations, and cloud infrastructure testing frameworks. /li liDrive integrated observability of cloud infrastructure, aligning with engineering, data, and InfoSec. /li liImplement SRE principles to proactively enhance system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency. /li liArchitect and maintain resilient, scalable, and cost‑efficient multi‑cloud production and development environments. /li liLead incident response, foster a blameless postmortem culture, and drive continuous improvement. /li liDefine and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to ensure service resilience. /li /ul pbStakeholder and Cross‑Functional Collaboration /b /p ul liPartner with the Director of Software Engineering, DevOps teams, and other technology leaders to enable seamless integration between cloud platforms and application development. /li liAct as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on cloud trends, emerging technologies, and strategic opportunities. /li liWork closely with Information Security to enhance and maintain a strong, proactive threat posture. /li liPartner with product, engineering, and data teams to ensure cloud capabilities are optimized for current and future needs, facilitating successful release management /li liRepresent Cloud Engineering in engineering forums and steering groups. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 pRequired Skills/Experience: /p ul liBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). /li li10+ years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a senior management capacity. /li liProven expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure, including architecture, operations, and security. /li liStrong understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.). /li liExperience managing large‑scale, mission‑critical cloud environments in a global organization. /li liExceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. /li /ul pbPreferred Certifications /b /p ul liGoogle Professional Cloud Architect /li liMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert /li liAWS experience (optional but beneficial) /li liPMP or equivalent project management certification /li liProven ability to translate high‑level strategic vision into executable, result‑driven plans. /li liExcels at decisive problem‑solving and critical decision‑making in high‑pressure environments. /li liInspirational leaders with a track record of uniting cross‑functional teams to achieve shared objectives. /li liDemonstrates high cultural intelligence, fostering effective collaboration across diverse global teams. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
