Maintenance Technician - Locke at Broken Wharf Millennium Bridge As a Maintenance Technician, you will support the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the hotel property, ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and equipment are maintained to a high standard. Working closely with the Chief Engineer and wider hotel operations team, you will carry out routine repairs, respond to maintenance requests, and support preventative maintenance programmes to minimise disruption and ensure a safe, comfortable, and operational environment for guests and colleagues. THE STAGE IS SET The stage is set for something different. We don’t run conventional hotels; we build places with character and intent. What began as a small UK aparthotel portfolio has grown into a European collection recognised for design and atmosphere - and we’re now entering a new chapter. As we redefine the brand and evolve our identity, we’re focused on creating spaces that feel compelling, contemporary, and truly distinctive. Locke leads with bold expression; Cove by Locke refines that same spirit into a quieter, more streamlined approach. Guests come to rest, work, or escape. Comfort is a given - great beds, hot showers, genuine service. But we aim to create moments that feel memorable and a little unexpected, bringing back the sense of mood hospitality often lost. This is our backdrop. We’re on an exciting journey, step on stage and play your part. THE WORK IN YOUR HANDS Carry out routine maintenance and repair work across guest rooms, public areas, back of-house facilities, and hotel equipment to ensure the property is maintained to a high standard. Perform general maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and minor building repairs, escalating specialist issues where required. Inspect, troubleshoot, and identify faults in building systems, equipment, and facilities, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and effectively. Respond to maintenance requests from guests and hotel teams in a timely manner, minimising disruption to operations and guest experience Support the Chief Engineer with emergency repairs, fault finding, and preventative maintenance activities. Monitor and report defects, hazards, or maintenance concerns across the property, ensuring appropriate follow-up action is taken. Assist with refurbishment projects, room setups, furniture repairs, and general property improvements as required. Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, fire regulations, and safe working practices at all times. Maintain maintenance records, logs, tools, and equipment to ensure accurate tracking and operational readiness. Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and external suppliers to support the effective operation of the hotel. Naturally this is not intended as an exhaustive list of duties. Other duties as may be reasonably required will form part of this job description. THE FIRE YOU CARRY Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences Positive, energetic, and adaptable personality Strong communication skills and confidence in guest interaction Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure Willingness to learn across multiple operational areas YOUR PROVEN TRACK Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role Understanding of health & safety procedures in a workplace setting Experience in a hotel, resort, or large property Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems WHAT WE LOOK FOR We’re here to rethink what a modern lifestyle hotel can be. That takes pace, creativity, and people who enjoy working with purpose. If you’re comfortable with change, motivated by ideas, and focused on crafting meaningful guest experiences, you’ll do well here. We value individuals who can hold a vision, appreciate atmosphere, and want their work to have impact. Skills can be taught. Mindset can’t. There’s no single template for success here - just the right approach and willingness to grow.
